I cannot wait to get Nightbird. She works so well as an uber assassin/ninja-robot-thing. I just always found the overabundance of weapons with arcee to be a little weird, because it conflicted with her motherly face and personality ('86 movie, my only reference) It comes off looking like the 'I've seen some $hit' or 'does this look like the face of mercy?' meme's and it's a little disconcerting.

In Armada, When Galvatron, Starscream, and Hot Shot fought, and were all laying on the ground dying, the minicons fixed them, and Starscream looked like Thundercracker. Starscream even said "I look like Thundercracker!"

I'd imagine that, for these, at least, they've had the molds since the original figs were released, so they could fiddle with them at their leisure, whereas for (some) of the tav line, they have to wait for hasbro to finish with the mold/send them a duplicate of the mold? I dunno, it is interesting, actually

Most likely because the TAV stuff is sensitive to the cartoon so they have to crank them out quickly which doesn't leave much time between pre-order and release. Legends don't have media to go with them so they can take their time.

But other websites like BBTS and TFSource have the preorders for both Takara Legends AND TAV figures months in advance. For those sites, there is seemingly no production related reason to give different time frames for the preorders. So I wonder why amiami wont do it as well. It seems to be more of a marketting strategy since its clearly not something impossible to do given that other places do it.

Oh the Thundercracker is Starscream. Should have read the news post. I saw the picture and just assumed.

I've been pondering this myself lately as I hawk AmiAmi for the Jazz/Drift VS. pack and other things. I think the US retailers just throw up the pre-orders willy nilly before they even place there orders. They may even base their quantities on their pre-orders. I think the Japanese sites wait to put their pre-orders up until they have placed their wholesale order.

All three look great. I pre-ordered the Nightbird as she's my favorite of the bunch. I had my finger on the trigger to do the same for Blackarachnia, but couldn't commit.

For those collectors so far unaware, or that perhaps forgot, Takara Tomy Mall has been running campaigns where limited edition Collector Cards have been available when buyers in Japan purchase ¥3,000 or more of Transformers products. Cards so far have included Arcee, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, and Megatron.

If you're collecting these cards, it's been revealed via the campaign's page on the Takara Tomy Mall site that September's card is none other than Ultra Magnus!



While this does rely on machine translation of the page, it seems this line up of cards is intended to go with figures that never included Collector Cards in their initial releases during Generation One.

I passed initially on ARMADA SS as well, I also passed on BOTH Generations Cyclonis.. NOW I REALLY REGRET IT.

With Armada SS I immediately thought WtF Bad-Look,,
BUT after reading the first few (Dope) "Dark Cybertron" ishs-
I was like hang-on, he looks kinda cool. The more I thought about
the ARMADA SS Look/Garb the more I Loved it!
That whole "acquired taste" jargon bit, or Maybe the comic is the way too appreciating it. Cause im A G1 Nut, E.g. ARMADA Megatron is horrid!
But ARMADA SS is an oddity or exception cause its thee Best secondary [ARMADA] look in the whole Transformers Universe...
It's A good look on him, Red is A Power color ((thee Ohio St.)).
Hell red dominates the NHL, BlackHawks, RedWings, Jordan's Bulls.


Needless too say, I Ebay'd ARMADA SS ($11) A year back (kinda loose forming but gr8 proportions and color for A Deluxe).
And after I grab this loot im going back2 Target & getting the
New Voyager "CW" Cyclonis (fingers X it's still there).
