Legends Fortes Maximus is honestly one of the best modern releases i've seen from takara, this side of UW Devastor. Though I wonder if it's possible to fudge a "city mode" rather than a base mode. That goes for the domestic version as well.

It's a heavy retool of Metroplex, right? So couldn't people try fudging around with Metroplex to see if they could get a city mode out of him that might be good groundwork for Fort Max?

Wish that was possible though but in order to do it, the new Fortmax should have a hollow "calf"

Here's the three minute version me, my wife, and my daughter (she turned 2 in March) listen to every morning on the way to daycare :-D

It finishes playing, my daughter says "Woooo! More Headmasta!" That was my selling point on getting the Takara version of Fortress Maximus to my wife this morning :lol:

Yeah, or a double jointed knee. Metroplex could have used an extra swivel just below the knee for a more G1 transformation, but I don't know if that would have helped a Ft. Max city mode. Given his size, Metroplex does have a rather limited and simple transforming scheme...

The opening theme scene is great, baby girl is learning the names as she watches it!! And not the flashy seizure inducing opening variant :lol:

My question is, where can i order it to FULLY pay for it, like "lock in the price". Anime-Export had it for $165 USD before shipping, i figured he'd be 2.5kg when I calculated shipping which roughly comes to $205 shipped via EMS. Which is like to pay. Now. And then he shows up in a few months ;)^

You surprise me Cram with this trial to import from japan when buying from TFSource is only 20$ different. But I welcome you trying to branch out. Also, I see what Takara is doing with their rewing, but by having the eyes and mouthplate so big, the red ends up looking like outlines around his eyes rather than the actual colour of his face. They really shouldnt try to apply show colours on toys that arent the actual show models:

That's my problem in general with a lot of Takara's decos. They apply slavish toy-accurate decos to toys that are clearly not meant to be slavishly show-accurate so it just ends up looking... really off to me. Sometimes it can work out well through coincidence, but... ech. Rewind is a perfect example of this.

MiniMemph SHOULD be smaller than Fortress Maximus length wise (or that's a LONG baby!) but will definitely outweigh him!!

I think Weej has a point. @TFYuki is well documented at waving his designer penis whenever there's retooling to be had and they need to steer people away from buying the Hasbro version.

We knew about Takara blast-off being in the pipeline before the US version had even hit the shelves and here we are now 5-6 months later and it's not even out yet.

Legion. Beast Hunters Legion Prowl works well. Also, thw G1 probably has a more involved Transformation than the nw TR one. I just love forming that central tower.
