BTW, jin doesn't mean god, it means something closer to people or being (in Japanese the DBZ Saiyans are spelled out Saiya-jin). God is kami. Incidentally, God Ginrai uses a westernized "goddo" (ゴッ) in his name because it's meant to be a play on Gojira (a.k.a. Godzilla) if you remove the correct syllables (Go* Gi*ra*).

What you may not know about Japanese is that kanji can have multiple readings, depending on factors like how the character is used, if it's standalone or in a compound. The kanji for "god" has two: kami standalone, or shin/jin in compounds. Needless to say, there are a lot of homophones in Japanese.

Ok, enough about that, back to Loud Pedal. Pretty surprised it uses the mouth plate of the original toy, but not so much at the body: 25 is the Tracks body after all, while 26 is the Road Rage type.

In the comics, Tracks and Needlenose are brothers, and the Loudpedal head is very Needlenose-like. So the jump is just a minor stretch of the imagination, fully understanding the alt mode and colors aren't quite there.

Just for clarify, this brotherhood between the two is specifically in the IDW comics, rather than all of them.

I think the only hope for these now would be Takara, as Hasbro never had much interest in Diaclone homages.

Hasbro did release legends size Prime "hyperspeed" Wheeljack in an homage to the Marlboor deco (to absolutely no ire of Phillip Morris, somehow).

Hyperspeed Wheeljack's red design didn't resemble Marlboro's red chevron. And it's altmode wasn't an exact match for the real world racecar that promoted Marlboro.

Hyperspeed Wheeljack's red design didn't resemble Marlboro's red chevron. And it's altmode wasn't an exact match for the real world racecar that promoted Marlboro.

But I think the implication was that it was based on the alternate paint scheme. I mean, I think it's more of a stretch to say they weren't homaging a diaclone than saying they were....

I've got the MC Blue Blaster, I was lucky enough to get one that has the radio cassette... but I've never put batteries in there to see if it works. I'll shoot you a heads up when I shoot a video of it.
