Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.
First-Aid wrote:Interesting. Something along the line of the old Centurion figures from the 80's, which were essentially human cyborgs that could attach and build weapons and vehicles around them. It was kind of like the Godbomber/Apex Armor for Convoy. I think they were starting to scratch the surface with the Fossilizers, etc, but if they could kick it up a notch that could conceivably be very cool. Like a combination of the Weapon/Fossilizers and the Minicons which unlocked powers.

It's a little more like Power Rangers or Voltron, a bot that combines with animal themed arms and legs with some added armor and heads (helmets?) to finish the look.
The figures do require some "parts combining", you have top pop off Prime and Meg's legs at the knees to combine with the Beasts from what we can see in the images.

How would you compare this to, say, the Power Core Combiners we had a few years back? Similar idea, just done better?

Sort of, but the drones turn into robots and the torsos don't seem to change unless you snap parts on. Probably closer to Energon Optimus Prime, but if the drones transform and the torso change remains minimal. It wasn't clear if the libs could be arms and legs, I think the image we saw of the giraffe showed a third and fourth mode, but one was a black and white pic of the figure and the other was a drawing so it could be another case of that Kingdom poster where Ractonite was entirely different from the figure.

In other words, they got lazy with the design and didn't come up with something more original.First-Aid wrote:Sabrblade wrote:No. The names are given in the OP.First-Aid wrote:Is that Longrack???!?!?

Especially since they all appear to transform exactly the same way, with the animal heads hanging off all of their right shoulders.
You know, you just made me realize that these could be kinda like spiritual successor to the "-Izers" that Age of the Primes is going to be skipping out on.Emerje wrote:Looks like these are going to be extremely modular.
