...and, hey! I just noticed Ratchet's pelvis and thighs are re-sculpted. That's always a nice touch.

Ironhide and Ratchet look great together in that pic above. Can't wait to have them in my collection! The Masterpiece series is quickly becoming my Transformers collecting priority.

Whoever sets them up for these events keeps forgetting to flip down the ab piece though.

I love the scale, I think the size is about right. If memory serves me right Ironhide was always about 2 heads shorter than Prime.

As if scaling really meant anything in a show that created the term "mass shifting". So given your logic of OCDing on scale, when and eventually TT does an MP Skyfire/Jetfire which you never fail to point out is a boxy cargo flying machine, TT would be building him Titan class then, and then someone going to complain about it being too big to afford.

So no great loss anyway.

Also notice how below both Ratchet and Ironhide are a good head taller than Wheeljack:





I mean they are vans. If a van is in scale with a car, the resulting robot should be bigger.

So yeah, they are perfectly in scale, dont know why Rated X doesnt want G1 cartoon accurate scale, sounds odd considering his previous comments regarding what he wants. But hey I wont argue, to each their own. I mean, we are talking about G1 scale, so...

Sure, but that is clearly not how takara sees the line since MP 10. Especially when they design toys to interact together like the van fitting in MP 10's trailer.

However, since I collect by mold and not character, I see it as you see it where each mold is a masterpiece onto itself.

Am I the only one who has a problem with how the feet came out?

Also, looking at those pics, why did Takara feel the need to include wipers? It could have been an easy thing to leave out to increase toon accuracy.

They look easily removable to me If they leave little roles then just fill them up with color matching putty or something.

The 2015 BICCAMERA event was held in Japan and Takara took the opportunity to reveal their latest Masterpiece figure to the public: MP 30 Ratchet. His mold mate Ironhide also made an appearance. Pictures from the event were circulating with the source and event unknown but now that we have traced them back to taghobby we have more pictures to share with you below, enjoy!

Please note that the abdominal tab is not pulled down on either figure making them slightly mistransformed (see, it doesnt only happen with Hasbro).

I thought Optimus only wanted the Decepticons' faces.

Yeah, they're going for the models as specified by the original Diaclone toys. In Ironhide's case he's "Onebox Cherry Vanette" owned by Nissan.
