Just got my Masterpiece Ratchet last night. He's fantastic! I like him even more than I did his mold-mate Ironhide. I went with the decals with the Autobot Emblem/Red Cross hybrid logo instead of trying to custom cut the other option to give the plane red cross. I don't mind the change at all to how his shoulders look with the Autobot emblems. One thing I do find pretty funny is that Ratchet seems to come with more "guns" than Ironhide, who has more "gizmos" at his disposal. Also, I've had no problem with flaking paint on mine, which I've heard some people have experienced. Mine is from the Asian market assortment, as it came with the collectors coin, if that makes any difference in the alleged QC issues.

My Ratchet finally arrived!



He spent some time in the Japanese post office for some reason, but he's finally here.

MP-30 is my first retooled figure since MP-19 Smokescreen (2013.) We've had a string of original molds. But I'm fine with it, he was a prominent character on the show; and besides, MP Ironhide and Ratchet look so good it's ridiculous.

My only complaint is (again) the stickers. I want tampos!! Wish they had tampoed the cross with the Autobot symbol, or did a slightly altered regular red cross (or whatever.) I gotta figure out what to do with his bare shoulders. Won't be applying the stickers right now.


Speaking of shoulders, did the fandom reach a verdict about the shoulder configuration? Which is correct? Or more importantly, which is better? I haven't transformed MP-30 back into a van yet to see if he's gappy.

btw, transformed Wheeljack from Lancia back to robot to put next to Ratchet, that's one complex figure. I love that Ratchet is packed with so many accessories to share with Wheeljack. :D
