Working on their own new "Blast Off" mold, perhaps? Like with Groove.

It takes a pretty good yank! I think it loosens up a bit over time. The first time I tried to pull them apart, I thought there must be a twist or movement I was missing. Nope, just pull straight apart.

TFyuki posted a HUGE teaser this morning folks. Seibertronian Cyberpath let us know of his new Tweet featuring an image of a G1 Bruticus only with Groove as an arm! This is incredibly interesting given that TakaraTomy recently made their own exclusive figure for their upcoming Defensor which everyone knows is a proper Deluxe sized Groove. This could mean that not only will Bruticus be released in the Unite Warriors line, but that TakaraTomy could be making their own proper Blast-Off as apposed to Hasbro's repainted Quickslinger. See what Yuki says below in this (probably terrible) translation.

Wouldn't be surprising if takara did make a oldschool blast-off, though I'm not bothered about it as space shuttles (while awesome) don't belong with a group of combat vehicles.

I'm not surprised Takara is doing a proper Blast-Off. I'm only surprised Hasbro cheaped out and went with a straight repaint of one of the Aerialbots rather remolding Alpha Bravo like everyone has been saying all along. Not to mention all the various repaints they could do of Bruticus that would more than compensate for the cost of a simple retool. G1, G2, Battle Gaia, Energon, and Ruination in all his various colorations. Heck, they could make entirely new, exclusive molds for all 5 members and still have tons of money left over.

Yes, the entire NASA Space Shuttle fleet has been retired. They are now museum pieces, and one spectacular commercial for Toyota.

But, these are still flying. Note the USAF (United States Air Force) badge.

Maybe taker a could do a modern take on blastoff by doing the mold based on one of the designs for the shuttle replacement. ..before funding was cut.

Yuki's teaser implies that Bruticus will be handled the same way as the other gestalts: Hasbro will release the set without one of the G1 units, and Takara's will include that missing G1 unit.

Well that's no surprise, really. I don't mind whatever his name is repainted into Blast Off, but I'm now excited to see an original mold Blast Off. I hope Blast Off and Groove get the Wildrider/Slingshot treatment and get released individually, despite the notion some people have that they won't.
