In terms of shipping do you think all Japan sites will charge about the same in a shipment of just devastator?

No. Some like hobbysearch don't use sal parcel for the bigger releases. And the rates vary by a few hundred yen.

I know I'm nobody to you guys, never really post, just lurk. That being said, I've ordered quite a bit from anime-export and I've never had a problem. I usually go with HLJ just because it means I don't have to pay for it right away, but whenever I go through anime-export, there's never a problem.

This will be the first time I buy a titan class straight from amiami etc. My Metroflex was from a local hobby shop.
MP UM, UW-01 and Encore 20A and Alter mu#12 were my biggest ever. You'd think EMS is a no brainer for the speed over sal parcel but in the country I'm stationed, EMS don't deliver
I have to spend an effort and funds just to get to the airport hub. I hope Devs maintains a sal parcel weight range.
And yup, I'll have the funds ready by Christmas. So more or less January 2016 is my ETA.
Though I understand about the pay now system of Anime Export, unless the item is a limited type like Guardian, going for amiami is the mot practical (and their points accumulation system will greatly help at further tapering the cost).
NuclearConvoy wrote:So, I just preordered my UW Devastator from Anime Export and, holy, his cost before shipping actually came out to cheaper than what his retail cost plus taxes would be here.

Thanks for the info!

Yeah, its awesome! Your premium for importing him is just the actual import costs. The only problem is that you will indeed pay the taxes when he comes to canada. They will be unavoidable with Devastator.Sowndwave76 wrote:

The deal with amiami is that they have one of the cheapest prices online and thus sell out very quickly. You have to preorder their stuff in advance. Superion has been sold out for a while.
NuclearConvoy wrote:I don't really mind the price difference as much if it's just the cost of import. It might hit a bit hard, but the difference is within what I would consider acceptable in relation to how much cooler this version is.

Sabrblade wrote:All the known changes made to Takara Devastator compared to Hasbro's retail version:
- More show-accurate deco
- Brand new headsculpt that contains a retractable visor to switch between both head designs
- Brand new gun weapons for each individual figure, all of which can store on Devastator's back
- Re-engineered arms for Scrapper to give him elbows
- Re-engineered arms for Long Haul to give him proper elbows
- Re-engineered arms for Hook to give him better (and double-jointed) elbows
- Re-engineered arms for Mixmaster to give him better (and double-jointed) elbows
- Re-engineered legs for Scavenger to give him better knees
- Re-engineered legs for Bonecrusher to give him better knees
