Except that, on Bruticus's animation model, Blast Off still has his wings folded onto his arm mode like on toy.Rated X wrote:Delta Magnus wrote:I hope not. Bruticus' cartoon model was ugly as sin and completely inaccurate to the (far nicer looking) toys. Grey chest all the way.
The vintage 1986 bruticus toy uses a chest plate that does nothing and does not intragrate which I know drives you bananas. At least the cartoon chestplate attempts a form of parts integration. Im suprised you wouldnt support that.

Indeed, but the CW toy manages to replicate the look of the chestplate without actually using a separate piece, so you have the best of both worlds. Plus, the only ways to achieve the cartoon-accurate shuttle chest wing would be either fake kibble (which sucks) or removing bits of Blast Off and sticking them on the chest (which would potentially affect structural integrity and would have to either be comically huge on Blast Off or pathetically small on Bruticus.
So in short? No. Toy accuracy all the way.

Sure, it fits the character's name, but not the theme of the group. I know it's a rather unpopular opinion to have, but that and the obvious scale issue made me welcome the jet version for CW Brute, just like Legends class Groove with CW Defensor (although I still like the design of Deluxe Groove, and I hope it gets retooled for Afterburner, who can be any size he wants as an alien motorcycle).

I know I should've expected this but...#$%&!...I already went all in with Hasbro's Combaticons.![]()

I recall it being announced but never noticed if it actually came out.

Either that Or I just hadn't kept them near a radiator, all my Visionaries & Cops figures are fine too.
Anyway regarding rubber tires - I had an Inferno where the tire separated along the mould line. but I've NEVER had any crumble - the closest to any noticeable harm I've noticed is some 2nd hand Junker 2001 RID Autobot cars have tires that look pock marked but They were not mine so I have no idea if someone left them in full sun or by a radiator (all my own original Car Robots ones are fine, so are the Universe ones) none of my G1 toys tires are damaged at all - even junker Minibots, heck even a badly light damaged Beachcomber I've got has perfect tires.
The worst thing I can think of is the surface of the hose on my radioshack style Grey KO Shockwave has gone a little grey looking.
I suspect if you live in say Arizona you will suffer problems if you live in say Norway then not so much.

I love that they are adding the extra rotors to Vortex. and Blastoff looks like an aerialbot retool to me, albeit very extensive, just with the way the shoulder looks with the "shuttle front"

Hey, long time no see, D![]()
He could indeed be an extensive re-tooling of an aerialbot, I see no reason why not, as they essentially share shoulders, but, they may have wanted to make him more 'blast-off' with the shuttle nose becoming his arms, that was pretty iconic of the figure

Hey screamer! Just got off break, so I'm catchin back up and I'm here to stay for a while too! Actually, with the way the aerialbots arms and jet fronts do transform, I could see Blastoff using the arms as the jet front and still using similar transformation. hmm

That Bot wrote:My Devastor has shipped. Hype level: 20%.
As for Liokaiser, I want to think that Takara would create a proper six-bot team, but making two deluxe molds that merge into a voyager-sized torso for combiner figures is a new one. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I think it presents a unique set of challenges, especially in where they place the combiner ports. I guess we'll see what happens.
