Amazon Japan is free shipping, so no charge.

Amazon has a "lowest price" guarantee for pre-orders. If the price increases, the original price is honored. If it goes down, the price is reduced. Win-win.

He lives in Japan, shipping was probably free. Only Japan residents can order toys from amazon Japan.

This actually changed earlier this year when they expanded their global shipping option. It's only for items sold by Amazon, but does expand our options, I just keep forgetting about it.

For example, this is what Super Ginrai now tells me on the page:

"AmazonGlobal Priority Shipping is available to your selected address. Please check estimated delivery date during checkout."

I just can't figure out how to estimate shipping. Unfortunately for most things the prices aren't that much different from AmiAmi or HLJ.

4,260 for me from HLJ. But yours is going to Canada, mine to Australia. So distance wise I may be worse off.

Mine was also 5,000 to Canada from Anime Export BUT it was for shiping both Blurr ad Computron combined. So all in all, I think thats a fair shake.

Anyways, we can all wjust wait a year to see those prices for Computron go up on the secondary market and i am sure none of us will mind what we have paid for him (unlike what I feel for having bought that big ass TAV 21 Optimus who is worth less now than what i paid for him )

Shipping cost 5,000 yen for me but I chose EMS. It would have been about 4,300 with SAL.
Got my shipping notice this morning!

TF Source probably thought they'd be getting more than they actually did. It can happen with Popular items like this, I remember I had similar problems with HLJ and Legends Arcee, ended up getting her off ebay

I can guess why, the demand was higher than expected. So US web stores tried to get more and I believe the huge demand made Takara release more units (its not a limited item). But those units take time to produce and thus they are coming in on a second batch, same as Hasbro's CW Groove.

Maybe because he's in such high demand...

(...oh, as for Roadbuster, just some 'Your Mileage May Vary' things I've learned from mine.

-Bicep swivels may be extremely tight, to the point where they'd rather pop off than actually turn (this may lessen over time)
-Trigger on the missle launcher may be absurdly sensitive (I swear, mine went off one time when a cat whisker landed on it)
-Various weapon pegs may need to be thickened with floor polish

...also, it's listed as 'vintage'? I found one at a Big Lots a month ago.)

Speaking of Groove, I remember the 1st batch selling out rather quickly. For this 2nd batch, none of the online retailers are sold out after about a week, which I'm a little surprised by. I myself am still waffling.

Speaking of Groove, I remember the 1st batch selling out rather quickly. For this 2nd batch, none of the online retailers are sold out after about a week, which I'm a little surprised by. I myself am still waffling.

Well, a lot of people already got him, and the price is not as attractive now that we know he is coming out in huge quantities (his first release had very limited quantities). He has been on preorders at other places for months now, I think they are making truckloads of this guy.

I checked my tracking number and I saw that my Computron set is already at the postal distribution facility, awaiting to be dispatched to my home city. By experience, this mean that I should receive him tomorrow or wednesday at the latest. Can't wait to finally have it As for Groove, my preorder is supposed to ship later in september. I'm quite curious to see him in hands

So...is the reason why Hasbro didn't do more than one release of Quickslinger & Brake-Neck because they believed they didn't sell well...? ...I feel fortunate to have UW 01 & 02...I cant imagine trying to get Quickslinger & Brake-Neck now...if you didn't get them when hey were initially released.

Groove's release was far mroe limited with Amazon beign the only big retail store to get him. There is a rumoured error in production which made them have to stop and continue at a later date.

I was actually talking about Computron not Groove, but while I was typing he was brought up. Sorry for the confusion.

Still, at least if I have to wait a bit it gives my wallet a bit of time. This week has some very heavy hits coming, so it'll be nice to wait for its sake
