Sabrblade wrote:Another guess has come up for who the Rook mold redeco could be: Movie Bonecrusher.
How so? The torso's G1 toy Galvatron, the right arm's G1 cartoon Starscream, the left arm's Armada Thrust, and the right leg could be Prime Breakdown, so the left leg as Movie Bonecrusher wouldn't be that different.RAR wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Another guess has come up for who the Rook mold redeco could be: Movie Bonecrusher.
Wouldn't that knock the whole theme out of whack though ?

Wreckage was another guess, but he's more white and gray with some red, rather than beige/tan and brown with some orange.Hellscream9999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:How so? If people think it could be bonecrusher (a stupid guess) why couldn't it be movie wreckage? they are from the movie, and even share color palettes...

United EX was all preexisting G1 characters rather than any of the PCC characters.Caelus wrote:Is it possible that Takara's Galvatronus combiner could have some significant tie back to Transformers United EX? They had pretty substantial development for the Power Core Combiner toys that we really didn't have with Hasbro. Granted, Starscream sure doesn't fit, and if I were repainting CW molds into PCC characters, I'd have done things very differently (e.g., First-Aid = Smolder, Blades = Windburn, Rook => Icepick, Air-Raid = Darkstream), but I guess I'm wondering if its possible there's some element of the running fiction in Japan that we're missing...?

Certainly would be an interesting pick. Would like to hear that explanation

Instead of pack-in comics, UW has pack-in illustrations of each combiner team doing some kind of activity.Hellscream9999 wrote:D-Maximus_Prime wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Another guess has come up for who the Rook mold redeco could be: Movie Bonecrusher.

Could just be their way of celebrating various lines, like our thrilling 30's generations line. Or maybe they did a fan poll to pick the homages, that we didn't know about, and armada thrust just happened to be popular...? I will say his pack in comic (if they do that for uw) will be interesting to see

The Superion one has the Airbots having an energon cook off at Metroplex with a grown up Prince Jumal.
The Menasor one has the Stuntrons having a race at a race track with the four limb bots riding on some real race cars they evidently stole (the car Dead End rides on is Auggie Cahnay's, with Cahnay running after him on foot) while Motormaster waves the checkered flag.
The Guardian one has the Protectobots playing baseball at a stadium.

Kapow sent me my invoice as well. It will cost £165 if you paid the £5 deposit.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
Cobotron wrote:What I don't get though is if you guys have the best currency out there, shouldn't everything cost a little less?
Cobotron wrote:Congrats you guys! That's awesome.
I converted GBP to USD out of curiosity (about $246) and was like.
Then I looked him up on BBTS and he is there for $220. So that's seems better.
What I don't get though is if you guys have the best currency out there, shouldn't everything cost a little less?

10 to 12 years ago I used to travel to the UK for work a lot. Back then the exchange rate was painful (for me at least). It was 1 GBP to 2 USD or more. I'm talking $12 dollar cups of coffee. Luckily I would get paid in pounds. When I got home it was likeWoohoo!

Is customs to much of a risk to buy direct from Japan for you guys?
EDIT: Sorry. Just re-read thisEasy Tiger wrote:Importing from Japan is effectively importing from the other side of the world for us, and tax due on imported items is 20% of the value including shipping.

Cobotron wrote:So essentially customs is a sure bet. It was stated in here that the US has a no custom fees policy with all packages coming from Japan. I'm not sure that is true, but I have luckily escaped them thus far.
Well, lessons in world economics aside, I'm psyched for you guys that you will be getting your TT Devys before January. When he arrives, I hope you'll come tell us how awesome he is and rub it in our faces.![]()
