Also, Anyone know where the best price for Grand Galvatron is?

Best price would be tfsource. Unless you get a Japanese company tenso to act as a middleman between you and ttmall. But that's a little headache you might want to avoid. slap ttmall might be sold out.

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:So, in a nutshell:
Hasbro
Scattershot: Silverbolt retool
Afterburner: Groove retool
Strafe: Air Raid Retool
Lightspeed: Streetwise redeco, possibly new head
Nosecone: Brawl retool
Comes with 6th member "Scrounge" and new dedicated hand and foot parts.
TakaraTomy
Scattershot: Silverbolt retool
Afterburner: Groove retool
Strafe: Blast Off retool
Lightspeed: Wheeljack redeco with new head
Nosecone: Rook retool
Only 5 members, retools are more extensive, new HFG parts.
Oddly, the Hasbro version rings more to me because it doesn't try to hide it's a all-reuse combiner.

Prices can't drop for him, he's not a wide japan release. And he just came out.

Grand Galvatron isn't yet out. I believe he comes out at the end of April.

Lightspeed has at least some additional retooling -- or maybe that's just the windshield, now that I compare them.

I think its just the windshield.
william-james88 wrote:Hisashi Yuki, Takara Unite Warriors head designer (aren't puns fun), has posted the new cominer head exclusive to Takara's version of Computron. He states in his post that they used the cartoon design as a basis and he wanted to showcase it in a post in case this significant change was missed in yesterday's reveal.

D-Maximus_Primal wrote:Yeah, the 2 are very different and offer very different options. One really can't be considered best considering there are very few similarities and they try to fulfill 2 very different things

Almost makes one want to get both and mix-and-match (and sell off the duds): UW Computicon's retooling + CW Computron's hands and feet + Scrounge. Nosecone, Lightspeed and Strafe are iffy, we'll have to wait and see on which is superior.
D-Maximus_Primal wrote:Mind you we haven't seen anything regarding individuals and how they actually look painted up in full detail by themselves and how they transform and look, but I think Hasbro won with Strafe using the Air Raid mold. I love that mold and think it works better for Strafe. Now Nosecone may go to takara due to the better mold and retooling, but it depends on the arms and how obvious they are. Hasbro chose the superior mold for Lightspeed in terms of engineering but takara chose the better looking option. So yep, tossup

Well, G1 Lightspeed and CW Breakdown/Wheeljack both had rather long torsos, so... which fits better?
