If my Victorion score works out for the cheap price I got her for (Megatronus shall let me know soon enough) Then the $46 I saved will fit perfectly for Computron and make up for the extra cost it will be over hasbro. So excited for him!!

Very excited for Computron - he's the first of these Combiners where I'm likely going to mix and match Hasbro & Takara versions.

That windshield placement is really bugging me out for some reason, especially in relation to the 3 ovals that form UW Blastoff's chest.

I'm very excited too. The leg guys just look so much better as does Scattershot. But to me the best is Nosecone. That and Computron's head are the reason I am going Takara. I really think that is how I will display him. gets rid of the big left lower knee, which I 'm wondering if you can fold the drill up differently to actually point upwards We shall have to see. But my collection thread shall so have a drill hand pic

You can see, from the very inception of the Technobots, Afterburner is supposed to be more of an orange-red color primarily. In fact, almost all of the "red" members have a slightly different shade to them for differentiation. I hope that Unite Warriors Afterburner looks a little more orange-red in person, at least enough to distinguish him readily from Scattershot, Lightspeed, and Strafe. These stock photos sure do make all those reds look quite homogenous, though.

Man, my opinion is entirely different now, I want that UW Bruticus so bad! Except for Brawl, his head is ugly.

In actuality, I have been considering dropping my preorder for this as well. I have Hasbro's version. I have United Computron preordered to get a retooled version of BlastOff....

I preordered computron too (paid for him already as well so there is no going back) and that was my same reasoning. Plus I'll get that mold in a better way since the fact that Strafe faces the opposite side means we dont get that giant protruding torso that blast off has.

Don't say that, at least try to get the hasbro release at a good price, the newest brawls are supposed to be pretty tight (he's my fave limb of the set) and 'slaught is just a treat; maybe score them with that great tru exploit you get

I still really hate how lazy Hasbro was with Blastoff. I will admit, I actually preffer the way Hasbro's robot mode looks simply for the perfect on point colour they have, but I dont know if it excuses what the toy is. Plus its not like I am in love with any of the deco choices all around aside from Blastoff and Onslaught in robot mode.
We'll see, the combaticons arent even at tru right now in canada (they restocked but with 2015 wave 4 instead for some reason). What I might do is simply get G2 Bruticus when he is on sale. At least I will have a bonus figure there and get some really interesting and cool decos. I havent given up on CW/UW Bruticus but now he has entered the realm of me not caring if I get him or not. If it happens it does, and if not I dont feel I am missing out in the least.

Man why did they put the RCS above the cockpit Windows on blast off? That's doesn't make sense. Even aesthetically cause it's ugly looking. Blast Off why can't you be perfect like Groove. Why?

For the sake of having them be on his chest in robot mode. It seems they designed this figure around two key aspects of his robot mode: Those RCS on his chest and his thruster feet. The results speak volumes about how they probably shouldn't have done that.

Oh, man; I wasn't really wanting UW Bruticus for anything but Vortex anyway, but Swindle's hands being that visible in leg mode is a real turn-off... so glad I didn't end up getting UW + Hasbro Onslaught/Blast Off like originally planned.

Bu Hasbro said they werent basing it off the toy either, so at least we are seeing the comparison that we know is intentional (Takara to the show).

Well yeah but if anyone was looking for some toy accuracy and one version or the other happened to have more of it, it'd be nice to see.
Especially since we have Marvel comparisons out of nowhere; were Hasbro basing it on the Marvel version? The Marvel version that was in, like... one comic?

But Marvel handled both the comic and the show so since these characters were very secondary, that marvel comic model is an excellent stand in for their animation model. It was used for both.

Computron really had a big noggin! Look at him on the side! Wish I'd own one complete (only him and Road Caesar (Autobots/Cybertrons) is missing in my gestalts) Too bad, only Devs and Bruticus got the Encore treatment (and Pirannacon if you count the Hb release)
