Just got my invoice from Kapow for UW Computron!

Thats quick. I thought he would only come out at the end of the month.

Yeah, Kapow bill at the start of month of release usually I think. Hence the soon-ish. But still! Not long to go!

I thought that's what it was for. Kapow release the invoices at the start of the month, regardless of when the item is due. But it's got till the 18th to pay, so it probably is the end of the month when it's out.

Well this is interesting. I was double-checking my Computron preorder because I might have to drop it for financial reasons, and I can't find any record from HLJ that I ever ordered him at all. No emails, nothing in my account.... odd. Maybe I thought I did but didn't? As I was thinking about cancelling the order it's no harm done, but curious.

Hmm that's odd. I know HLJ can be infamous for accepting preorders en masse before they know how much stock they're getting, so oftentimes they'll cancel your preorder if they've over-sold once they get the shipping numbers. It could be that... but then i'd expect they'd send out a courtesy email to let you know, or again, that you would have some record of it happening.

If only for the sake of completeness I really would like a Hasbro toy colour version of Blast Off as I really can't stomach the colour scheme on the Takara one it makes an already pretty ugly toy look even worse.

They shot themselves in the foot by wanting to make the arms be by his side they'd have been better underneath and he's flattened looking and a sort of contents of a babies nappy colour which isn't pleasing at all. Not to mention he matches Swindle to closely and then they added the weird brown to the Bruticus torso too.

It didn't do MP Inferno or Ironhide any favours either.

Sometimes a desire for cartoon accuracy = a complete disaster.

I actually prefer the space shuttle Blastoff over the jet Hasbro one. Not too bothered about his colours. Though I may still get the CW Bruticus as I can probably get him a lot cheaper than a UW Bruticus. A shame those dont come seperately.

There is someone on Tiaboo selling the cases split - but they may have sold out of Blast Off now - they did still have some Vortex I think though.

I'm generally a bit puzzled by those colours - they are "supposed" to be cartoon accurate yet they seems in more ways like they got half way towards doing a Operation Combination or Car Robots Valdigus set then got bored.

I guess it's just because I associate a Blue Onslaught with Operation Combination more than I do the Original version of the Character.

It's a shame they never put a rotator in Brawl's turret that would have been so useful especially for later remoulds.

You all may remember when a Unite Warriors Victorion was teased with the Lynx Master comic? Well, TFYuki seems to want to tease us a bit more. He recently took to Twitter to show off a face sketch of the potential upcoming combiner. What we know so far of the character is that she and her components are Decepticons, and her torso component (the Pyra Magna mold) is the "wife of the Emperor of Destruction".

Guesses about component character identities are the obvious idea of Dust Up being made into Nightbird, and Pyra Magna being made into the only known "wife of the Emperor of Destruction" there is: Esmeral (Deszaras's wife).

I'm a bit more tempted to say this is Esmeral now since there seems to be an attempt to draw a second pair of eyes above her actual eyes; much like her animal helmet she shares with Deathsaurus and the rest of the Breastforce.

Speaking of Vicky and her...robust proportions, I did a (very crude) digibash to try and give an idea of how she SHOULD look if she got an original mold rather than being a somewhat lazy retool (granted this would probably be completely impossible to achieve, but in an ideal world in which, say, Maketoys did an all-new mold version of her, this would be a good framework for her overall silhouette).



(Yes my photomanipulation skills are terrible. So sue me.)

But anyway, my ideas for improving Vicky:
>She needs narrower shoulders.
>The copter tails, rather than forming broad 80s shoulder pads, could instead go vertical and form Evangelion/Gunbuster-esque shoulder pylons, thus still remaining intimidating/imposing whilst not just looking manly.
>She needs an overall narrower body, especially the waist (to compensate for this she should have a longer torso and limbs so she isn't too petite).
>Her lower legs should be slimmer.

As for some things I couldn't 'shop on because I suck with GIMP:
>Rather than having sheer mass, she should improve her overall silhouette with lots of protruding things- fins, antenna, guns, blades, the previously mentioned shoulder pylons etc.
