When you feel up to it, I strongly recomend you give importing a shot
itscramtastic wrote:So the lesson here people, if you think you'll want this figure someday order him now while it's cheap!!
As my collecting is beginning to focus on the more expensive figures/sets, I'm finding this may be the way to go. I'm guessing if I had pre-ordered and imported all of the Takara Masterpieces I've ordered in the last year I probably could've saved a few hundred USD...william-james88 wrote:I strongly beleive that. Hence why I just bought Encore Fort Max. I would not get over it if he was no longer available online and I had to rely on ebay or other secondary market sources.itscramtastic wrote:So the lesson here people, if you think you'll want this figure someday order him now while it's cheap!!

This would even explain the yellow eyes as well, as the original toy's eyes had no color.
So too did Optimus's original toy (both the Diaclone and TF versions) have yellow eyes (which the cartoon changed to blue), but the super robot eyes of the Ultra Magnus helmet were dark and colorless (for both the Diaclone and TF versions).Glarryg wrote:I think the Diaclone toy's inner robot (the blue Optimus Prime) may have had yellow eyes, which would be where the animators got the yellow.

I feel like if I picked this guy up, I'd have to go back and get the G1 based Delta Magnus. Anyone else think that?
The eyes are holes so you could see the eyes of the driver through them. Didn't work out so good though.Sabrblade wrote:So too did Optimus's original toy (both the Diaclone and TF versions) have yellow eyes (which the cartoon changed to blue), but the super robot eyes of the Ultra Magnus helmet were dark and colorless (for both the Diaclone and TF versions).Glarryg wrote:I think the Diaclone toy's inner robot (the blue Optimus Prime) may have had yellow eyes, which would be where the animators got the yellow.

Delta Magnus is part of a peacekeeping and relief mission in outer space, where he is a savior to the inhabitants of remote regions and planets; he was known of by Convoy, Supreme Commander of the Cybertrons, since early times. But even this legendary hero has a secret he won't divulge. He was once asked to be Earth's City Commander, but declined it, for those in Earth's forces also know of him from earlier times and he fears the possibility of the truth coming out.

Wait, why would the guy who declined the offer to be City Commander be the same guy as the City Commander?william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Fan translation of Delta's bio:Motto: "Lies also shine bright."

Woho, what secret? That he used to be Ultra Magnus, the once great City Commander of Autobot City on Earth? And thus the one who was there when it all went to hell?![]()
He might be Ultra Magnus from an untold future then.

Thank you, Sabrblade, for saving me research.Sabrblade wrote:Delta's dark secret that kept him from accepting the City Commander offer is a reference to his having led the Primal Vanguard in the IDW comics, which was a "peacekeeping" organization that specialized in murdering scores of organics.
