I wish they recolor CW/Legends Ultra Magnus like this, and repaint Minimus Ambus into a Diaclone driver. That would be awesome too.

I dismissed this on the first rumor, but seeing these pictures, really has peaked my interest.

First overseas listing I've come across! I was worried he might be a TT-Mall exclusive or something because I was NOT looking forward to paying BBTS's prices.

This is also another good indication that he might actually be numbered as MP-31.

I HATE Fed EX for TFs. Its a guaranteed tax no matter the amount. And if you dont have a fed ex account, its an extra 7$ aside from the tax everytime, once again no matter the amount. So the cheap price you pay gets that extra fee added on top making it not so much worth it. To be fair to Fed EX, I did have an account with them before and it worked well for comics I bought from Heritage Auctions in Dallas. I was a hardcore comics collector before I went into TFS (I had one of the best vintage Detective Comics collections around, didnt have 27 though for obvious reasons) but the only reason I used Fed EX was because the government of canada considers vintage comics to be second hand books and thus the tax is minimal (not considered new product, unlike these TFs). So I was spared the fed Ex fee by being a member and just had to pay 5% tax and had good service and I was sure these newly aquired gems were well maintainted.

But as bad as Fed EX is, UPS is worse. This clip explains them pretty well:

Speaking of shipping, I haven't done EMS in a long time from Japan, I have been using the fed-Ex shipping. I had to order another UW-02 and it got here really fast. It shipped on 3/3, got here 3/7. And its cheaper than the Fed-Ex Int. Express

FedEx Express means additional cost for the "express speed" I guess.

Looks like Delta's deco isn't as toy-accurate after all.

The shades of red, blue, and light gray used on this figure are much brighter than those found on the original toy, and there's two blue triangle designs and some yellow details on the MP that aren't found on the original toy:




So, where did Takara take their inspiration for this figure's deco if not solely from the original toy? Well, it looks like they used Ultra Magnus's original color scheme seen in the earliest Transformers: The Movie promo as the main source of reference instead:



This would even explain the yellow eyes as well, as the original toy's eyes had no color.

There has been some dispute as to what his (and Masterpiece Optimus Primal's) number designate would be, so this should put to rest those arguments what with the big "31" on Delta's box. Seems like it, maybe you should talk to Dr. Va'al, I'm sure he and Alpha-Bravo would be able to help

In all seriousness though, this guy looks great - moreso than the original, which looked fairly plain and lackluster; my only advice would be to consider selling mp magnus for this guy, if you can't live with both of them

Perhaps they were gonna do a one-shot for him, but decided later to make it a sub-line and release others

I can't part with Magnus, but Delta does look good in blue. I figure since I'm focusing on only collecting MPs from now on I might as well. Cancelling last minute is an option

That magazine scan gave Primal the designation MP-31 although I can see how easily the 3 could be confused with a B at quick glance.
