There is one big advantage with BBTS, namely not having to pay out for these up front. My cash flow is far too tapped at the moment, if I wasn't going for this I'd pretty much have to pass on them. Things should be rosier come September, so i don't mind paying a little more later rather than cash I can't afford right now or very, very silly epay prices once people have actually got these in hand and start cashing in. Besides, if sanity prevails and I decide between now and then that I can't justify the price for two additional versions of repaints that I already have then it's a no quibble cancellation with BBTS.

I'm actually a little more sold on the chromed launchers than I was, so grabbing a Henkei Screamer now goes up the priority list. Only questions that I have at this stage are who should I repaint my existing Skywarp into (I'm thinking remove the camo paint aps from Acidstorm, repaint Classics Screamer into Sunstorm and give Classics 'Warp an all over purple look to get the three season 1 Cybertronian Seekers, but that can all wait for a while) and if I'm going to end up keeping both 'Crackers. Having two pricy varients of the same toy seems kind of redundent but I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to break up the GoD set. No need to make any decisions until I have them in hand and can decide just what looks best displayed together I suppose.

What a cool response. I almost sense a little bit of fishing for another sale there, but I'm pretty sure that it really is more curiosity driven.

Hehe, just had a thought. With the amount of these being bought by proxies, ordered through f2f or snapped up by other websites how many of these babies are actually going to be left for the Japanese collectors? :-?

Guess it depends if there's a fixed amount being made, or if Takara are making however many they get preorders for. I haven't found out which rumour is true, so... :?: Who knows?

I'm sure everyone in Japan who wants one will get one, after all it is a lot easier for them to do it. I would imagine there are Japanese buyers getting these in bulk too just so they can sell them when the preorders get cut off.

I think I've managed to secure myself a Thundercracker through Fan2Fan, I've sent payment and he did say he'd get on ordering it right away. I do believe they don't work weekends, because I didn't hear from them all weekend long. $45 US plus shipping, not bad.

Oh, and as for quantities, I've heard on Tformers that 9999 are being produced. So the Japanese fans shouldn't have too much trouble getting one.

Why 9999? Why not 10000? Are we measuring production units in Final Fantasy HP bars now? :-P Sounds a bit iffy to me.

Japan likes to do weird stuff like that, I'm sure you know that, being in this hobby. :P

Edit: My bad, it seems they changed it to 2000 now. Whatever, as long as I've got mine it's all good.

2000 seems reasonable.

Last year's Botcon set was 1250 units for the main set, split between boxed and loose, 1100 for the on the day 2 packs and an unknown number presumed to be around the 1000 mark for Mirage. If 9999 turns out to be true for the Henkeis that would be eight times the number of Botcon 'Crackers.

I heard from another source that the number was closer to 2500, so right now I don't know where we are.

But I suppose, it doesn't really matter.

I highly doubt 9999 is correct.

I'm getting mine through Fan 2 Fan. Normally I'd be all over BBTS but it seems since the beginning of the year the mark ups on Japanese import TF's have skyrocketed. Even with the express shipping from F2F it still comes out only a few dollars difference between the two.

Likely has a lot to do with the declining US dollar. It's becoming increasingly expensive for them to get things from overseas.

Doesn't F2F ship from Japan? That will add significantly more to the shipping total than BBTS domestic shipping will. If you're located in the US.

Especially if using the pile of loot option.

Now we play the waiting game... :-?
