Bring on Thrust and Dirge!
Don't get your hopes up for the coneheads though. I've said before, the likelyhood of there being a release of Thrust and Dirge is way way lower than TC and Skywarp.
And I totally raped that sentence... The shame...

I'm sorry if i offended anyone but try to put yourselves in my shoes.
what would you feel like if certain popular figures would only be available in my country, and then when they would get rereleased for everyone else all i'd do is complain about it, that i'm not the only one that can now own them now.
wouldn't that piss you off too ?
again i appologize if i offended anyone.

Honestly man, it happens all the time to everyone.
The Japanese seem to get crazy exclusive figures, all the time.
(They think the same thing about us).
We pay the mark up, pay the eBay prices, find a reliable online retailer, and in the end that's all we can do.
It's the name of the game, pay to play. One of the more difficult things in our hobby is accepting that sometime, somewhere, there is limit which you are no longer willing to put down cash for.

Even with my initial excitement, I figured there was still a chance that these will be expensive and hard to get a hold of.
Now, am I willing to pay more for a Thundercracker if I can get one?
Yeah.
Personally, I have zero interest in BugBite or Dreadwing,
so I look at the BC set as being the 3 Seekers (I know, this is just me).
So that would make each Seeker, what $90?
IF I can get a Thundercracker for $60, I may go for it.
I figure for me, this is worth the City Commander set.
But believe, I'm not getting any sort of hope up.
It will be interesting to see if BBTS gets these;
wouldn't it make sense that these take to 2 current empty spots on their site??
And how much will they charge?
I would not doubt triple digi's...
EDIT: Interesting, I just checked, and those "mysteries" are listed at $24.99...
Of course that could easily change.

I think if Takara made more G1 accurate wings for Dirge it would make a Henkei version suitably different from the Botcon release which was a straight repaint of Ramjet.
I can somewhat understand why people who paid out for the Botcon set are annoyed but to be honest I don't like the whole policy of Exclusives and think that everyone should have the same chance at getting figures for a decent price regardless of where they live or whether they can get to a convention or not.

3000 Yen is close to $30.
Unless you are getting this directly from a friend in Japan, you're getting it from an online retailer. The price gets doubled essentially to @ $60. Then add on for shipping costs...
Already the figure costs more than BotCon Thundercracker when the box set was released (TCracker was $55 if you split the box five ways).
Now, what many here don't realize is that this is a store exclusive figure. Does anyone else besides myself understand what this means in Japan?
Look, free, zero cost, unpopular MiniCons sell for about $30 a piece in the US. How much do you think the very popular Thundercracker is going to be marked up?
Not only all of this, but store exclusives either run in production runs of 1200 or 6000...
This thing is going to be harder to get than BotCon Thundercracker...
Mark it down.
Agreed. I can see this now as pre-orders on BBTS and other sites for $100 to $150, more likely around the $150 mark.

Those are "C-" listings, for "Cybertronian" or Autobot.
Those preorders are for Prowl and Sunstreaker.
Anyway, if Skywarp and Thundercracker get a number it will be DX-01 and DX-02 (or XD-01 and XD-02). That's how the Japanese numbering goes.

Still be cheaper than paying $210 for a Botcon figure.
But that's what eBay's for.

Yes, I know that can be a even MORE expensive route.

That's what I thought soon after I edited my post...
I kinda thought that Prowl and Sunstreaker listings would've been labeled with their names by now.
And part of it was probably subconscious wishful thinking.
IF BBTS were to get these, how soon do you think they would be listed?
And thanks for the heads-up.

Re: TakaraTomy Website Update - Henkei Skywarp & Thundercracker
So what would you do in my case. I have Henkei Starscream, classics ramjet and skywarp.
I bought Exclusive Thrust and refused to pay the ridiculous prices for TC and Dirge (repaints).
Should I sell Thrust now before one gets announced by Henkei which you know is coming!
Part of me thinks, awe heck, I paid $100 incl shipping for the figure and a Thrust will at least cost $40, plus we don't know when it would come, could be over a year from now. Thoughts????
Oh and yes, I will be ordering TC and if a Dirge comes out, him too.
People that bought the Botcon 2007 set when first released shouldn't be so upset...it's the people that bought the resold items for double the cost and those that paid over $200 for a $10 toy, they should be a bit perturbed. I am not so upset because I knew the risk was there and wanted Thrust which is just a great figure and a remold.
And with another repaint coming out in the universe line, it just keeps going!

Dude...This isn't some kind of populist victory.
I mean really.
Anyone could have had Thundercracker for $55-70 last year. They could have bought the set, sold off the extras and came ahead money wise.
The set didn't even sell out for like 3 weeks.
Now, people have a second bite at the apple and it will be a bite that costs 2-3 times what the original opportunity costs. Anyone that doesn't think Thundercracker is going to hit $200 is deluded. (If they produce 8-10,000 units, then yea, most people will get this on the cheap. More likely though, we're looking at 1000-2000 units, max around 6,000.)
To top it all off, Japanese store exclusives are MORE LIMITED than BotCon exclusives.
Am I not making this clear?
To make the whole situation worse...
Since these are Japanese exclusives...we will NOT be seeing a general release of them in the Henkei line.
This time I actually feel sorry for those that want this toy and are going to find out how hard it is to get (or expensive).
Whatever though...

lol, nice SS CP
I might pick up the SW. He looks a lot nicer than the Hasbro release.
Botcon TC looks fine though
There's nothing wrong with making exclusive seekers, or henkai seekers. The problem is that the fandom's too immature to make sure they get one.
Even knowing that it'll be a bitch to get, I can't help but say MEGA LOLZ!!

If the preorder for this does not sell out within a day I will be VERY disappointed in all of you.
Everybody screamed and yelled for this and you're now given the opportunity. I want those without Botcon Thundercracker to not even give me a chance to order one.
Everybody was positive that he would sell as a mass release, so he better be impossible to find for the next 10 years.
Along those same lines of thinking everybody wanted to buy a trailer for Ultra Magnus and said that Hasbro was stupid for not making one. Why then, can I still buy the awesome upgrade kit for him?
Make me proud boys.
