Since G1 began the Japanese releases of Transformers have come with collectible cards featuring the tech specs and bios. More recently the cards have had a secondary usage with Animated figure's cards being compatible with arcade games. Now for the Takara release of Mechtech figures the cards can be used with an online tie-in game, Mechtech Wars.

The official website for the game can be seen by clicking on the image above.

With today being the official launch day for DOTM figures in Japan no doubt more information on this game will be showing up shortly.

Weapon: Atom-Smasher Cannon
When I was in Japan. I was impressed with how advanced their arcades and video games are. I remember seeing in an arcade a few years ago a player using cards on a horizontal video screen. The cards were similiar to Magic/Dragonball kind of thing, except the cards had smart chips in them which could be read on the video screen. The could control armies and characters on the screen. It was pretty cool.
