Which do you like better? I personaly like JetStorm better just because the blue fits alot better on this mold and the head is alot better than Jetfires.

I'm torn about these two. I really like both individual modes. I do not like the combined jet or Safeguard mode. Jetstorm's head looks like a more traditional head whereas Jetfire's head looks more unique. I definitely like the blues on Jetstorm better than the creamsicle colors on Jetfire.

They've appeared in the Netherlands, in one of my local toy store chains no less. It was hard to resist when I first saw them because:
1) I like jets, (or anything that flies for that matter)
2) I like combiners
3) I'm a sucker for homages (in this case to the Symmetrical dockers from GaoGaiGar).
But the price tag is a bit prohibitive: 30 euros. It does include the comic, mind you. Plus, it's a good deal considering a regular deluxe alone is E 18.99 here nowadays. Any opinions or suggestions?

Re: TFA JetFire or Jetstorm?
It all depends on how big a fan of the animated line you are JelZe.
I love the line, and I love the Animated comics too, so this was a must buy for me, even if the individual, and combined jet modes are pathetically laughable.
Both robot modes stand up well, Jetfire and Jetstorm both look fantastic in their own right, both pose very well, and they have excellent balance.
Safeguard mode is hit and miss. It is a great concept, but the execution is a little lacking. It's not the best combiner, but it ain't the worst.
Price was not really a concern for me, the set is retailing for about $36, whereas a normal deluxe is about the $28 mark, so it's value for money, considering the comic is over a dozen pages long, and features new bots Wheeljack and Perceptor, alongside Ultra Magnus, Jazz, Sentinel and Starscream.
I'd check out Ryan's Gallery in full before making a final decision.
You are going to be pretty much buying this set for the individual robot modes, and the comic. if you like the Safeguard robot mode, all the better.

Their combined jet mode as shown in the instructions is lame, but their inherent flexibility lets you use your imagination to come up with a couple different modes. I take the "legs" of the jet on bottom and bend them forward; they look like massive air intakes or cannons or what have you. You can also change it up as you go, for a morph-in-flight capability.
Safeguard's combined robot mode has a similar "feature", where you can reconfigure the kibble to form wings, cannons, sensor pods, etc. Fun!
One thing on the combined robot mode, tho: mine had the screw that holds the light-piping for the half-heads a little loose, so they didn't mate up very well. If this happens to yours, just sung down those screws, should improve things.

They'd be my first Animated purchases actually, but I have been eyeing Blackarachnia, Grimlock, Slag (I refuse to call him "Snarl") and Oil Slick for a while... Guess I'll find out tomorrow
