Good to hear he's top quality. The Benscollectables video I saw gave me the impression he's a very TFC toy, with lots of chunkiness and rock-solid construction. Quite frankly I'd be happy to get him on his own (although I won't because I want the full set).

Okay, got him and he's pretty good. I had a bit of a problem transforming Defensor's chest piece, but got it alright in the end. He's very solidly-built and looks nice. the face looks a lot better in person than on the screen.

So... preorders for First Aid or Blades? This is starting to get a bit worrisome for me, to be honest.

based of their previous schedule, First Aid should be in 2-3 weeks while Blades around March/April 2015

The one main flaw I see is his shins. I'm not sure why the need to create shin spikes...sort of... Perhaps it is for foot articulation?

Think TFC puts all their time, effort and budget in making the core team leaders toys be top notch toys. While I'm guessing they put less effort, time and budget into making the limbs bots looks like inferior nothings.

He looks pretty nice. That ambulance mode is great and the robot mode kicks arse. I think I prefer him as a leg though- if/when I get Prometheus I'll probably use Groove and Streetwise as arms with Blades and First Aid as the legs.

Also, have you tried getting other figures to ride on Groove in bike mode? I reckon Arcee or maybe a Figma would look pretty great driving him.

I admit to being legitimately impressed with most of the Protectobot limb bots, moreso than I've been with any previous TFC figure. However they're still not worth the $100 price tag for me.

I'm in the camp that thinks Red Cross is the best looking figure in this set. He displays the right design to emulate the G1 character, and looks great in both modes. Also, the paint apps help break up the monotony (that's what I needed to use in the Mega Steel thread!) of all the white. The previous 3 characters in this group just don't execute as well. Gema's pictures exemplify these great traits.

Having said that, I don't think I'd pick up Red Cross without getting the rest. I do have the iGear Medical Specialist with alternate head First Aid head to tease out my collection. I think this is just one of those times that I'll have to wait for a "slow" month in collecting before I get any of these.
