What more is there? They already did a Pre-Beast Wars theme w/ the original BW characters. What more do you want?

More pre-beast wars, yeah they did main cast already, just have a new on composed of the odd-ball characters from beast wars and beast machines. Funpub dosen't need to outline another alternate universe; just do what they did with stunticon job and dawn of the futures past, be part of a pre-established continuity, just be another story in in the mythos; dawn of the future's past two: electric boogaloo.

Technically... this IS existing mythos, guys. It's at least four to five years old come this year. It's just only now getting some attention (and a NAME) after all these years of going unexplored outside of a single bio description. And I for one have waited, and waited, and WAITED for them to go back to this continuity and give it some proper development and analysis, and now at long last, they are finally getting off their hides and getting down to business with this.megatronus wrote:SW's SilverHammer wrote:Manterax Prime wrote:SW's SilverHammer wrote:Question, why, tell me why can't we just do some more regular pre-beast wars? Not sure if I agree with electric boogaloo... but I do agree that I'd rather see them enrich an existing mythos rather than stretch the brand thinly across multiple shallow continuities.

Though I would have preferred them to not have included the words "Beast Wars" verbatim in the title (since there were no "beast wars" in this continuity, making it more like "Beastless Wars"), but I guess they had to go with what folks would recognize so as to help people understand it better.
So I welcome this dark counterpart to the Beast Era that came about nearly a decade ago, as it gives us some brand new territory while paying tribute to what came before without having to be confined and restricted by the old material, and freeing it up to become its own identity.

No they'e not. Or at least, not at the moment, we know that these won't be BotCon or TFSS toys, and any toys to be made for them are in limbo since it all depends on how much positive demand there is for these to be made into toys.Flashwave wrote:Guys, they're TOYS.

And judging from the reception in this thread, "negative" seems to be the general consensus here.

Before I got my issue, someone who got theirs last month gave a rundown of all the characters and their body-type, noting that some of them had non-toy-based bodies. If I can find that list, I'll post it.Mindmaster wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Thanks for reminding me that I still haven't gotten to read the newest magazine yet (I have it, but haven't found the time to open it yet).
IMO, this one feels a little boring compared to the last issue. Though it did have two pages dedicated to the Unicron Trilogy.
But trying to figure out each character is frustrating me... once you read yours, mind if you chip in and help name them?
