So now, I don't know what to do. I always said to myself 'no scramble city combiners' but now a glut of them are appearing. Does anyone have an approx. scale guide for all the 3rd party combiners?

I am awaiting Maketoys green Giant, so I want the other combiners to be either smaller or the same size as him.

I'm guessing on that scale, Uranus will be too big (sounds like something I would say to my wife)

Also, I wonder if FP will revisit Superion or Bruticus themselves.

This is a bit of a disappointment.

They're the exact same size as WfC Shockwave.

Scout size for the combiner limbs is fine by me. Keeps the price down, and besides, with FP quality, they're still going to be miles better put together and articulated than a lot of other larger figures.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

It's rumored that the designer for Maketoys Giant is the same designer as the one behind these new Not-Stunticons. If that's the case, I'd be willing to bet they were also responsible for Not-Swindle / Not-Blastoff as well.

I'm in the same boat as you are, wondering if FP will revisit their old Crossfire projects. I'll be holding my breath and betting they will -eventually-, but while going out on that same limb... I'm going to assume it won't be for a long time yet. It wouldn't be hard for them to revisit Colossus. They're already 2/5ths done with it.

The tough part will be in playing the waiting game with all the new 3rd party releases... TFC doing Uranus along with concept sketches of Terrorcons. Mastermind doing Predacons. Not to mention that still leaves Defensor, Piranahcon and Monstructor on the back burner I'd say FP probably won't be worried about Superion and Bruticus until then.

Thanks for the info, that's pretty interesting stuff. I'm hoping that TFC Superion will lead to some people offloading their TF-enhanced Superion, which I will gratefully pounce on. Getting Bruticus will be harder, I fear. I wonder what sort of wage/commission these guys make? It must be frustrating to be uber cool designers, and remain anonymous. 8)

It would be quite nice if the third parties followed suit with many toy companies and, at least on their adult collectibles, named the designers. Hasbro aren't doing it, so giving recognition to those responsible for some of these better transforming robot toys would be nice, and another way FP/TFC/PE/etc could claim that they care about people. Of course, there's also a potentially dangerous legal situation that some of these designers could face, so perhaps that's the reason for the anonymity?

This is a bit of a disappointment.

Motormaster will probably be the deciding factor for me though.

One would assume they did this so Menasor will be in scale with their previous combiners. I'm actually pretty happy about it. Motormaster will probably be a deluxe so they don't make the mistake Hasbro just made with their 5 team combiner.

The deluxe Insecticons look incredible. I love the new heads and the colors look great. Clear plastic wings too!

Breakdown and Wildrider look great. I love Breakdowns vehicle mode. The scramble city factor doesn't do anything for me. I can't wait to see more.

I'm on board with MMC's seekers. The look great and I love that large deluxe size. As long they do not come out at the same time as Hexatron, I'll buy them.

I'm also in the minority that likes MakeToy. Their quality is great and i actually like the PCC design. Bring on the upgrades and the Fallen.

Oh yeah! I love Assaulter too. I'm happy to read that those aren't the final colors as well. I can't wait to see his carrier mode. The addition of the mini figs that ride on him will look great. I'm beyond impressed with the reveals this weekend.

The Stunticons remind me a lot of their WfC counterparts (well, Breakdown anyway, there was no Wildrider, but still :P) and they also kinda resemble Prime Wheeljack. Not bad things to resemble at all, so don't get me wrong, I'm just saying, they definitely look like they took some design cues for their car modes from WfC and TFP Wheeljack.

I was treated to a few more images of the Stunticons. Wildrider and Drag Strip look great in vehicle mode and have completely different transformations unlike Deadend and Breakdown. Motormaster will be pretty big. His vehicle mode splits into three different parts for Menasor, and they've re-done the robot mode a bunch of times in the pursuit of perfection.

Lots more coming down the pipe! I'm setting up an interview with FPC soon and I'll be making a questions thread for fans to ask them. More on that later.

Damn, I just wish I didn't have to pick and choose with these guys. With so much awesome out / coming out I want it all. But some of it is more along the lines of what I want than others.

Menasor is an absolute MUST BUY for me. I think a little part of me died when I had to pass on Core, but with so much expensive stuff coming out and my shelf space at a premium, I think I may have made the right call.

Seeing Assaulter in hand, though, is making me rethink that pass. It has such WEIGHT. Like MP-01 weight. I know structurally it makes no difference and it only makes it more costly to shop, but weight really adds value to a TF for me.

Those Stunti-nons look very... menacing... can't wait!

Hexatron doesn't look quite as good as I thought he would... hopefully they add a bit to the color scheme, it's just way too bland.

Totally makes a structural difference. Assaulter bing so bottom heavy means he's rock solid.

My only complaint, if you could call it that, is that they aren't using show accurate heads in the individual robot modes. They are using toy accurate heads.

So TFW reported Headrobots Big Road IS indeed happening, but the Headrobots TFCON Power Point slide says it is still listed as an internal custom only?

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything more about this?
