This is a bit of a disappointment.
Motormaster will probably be the deciding factor for me though.

I am awaiting Maketoys green Giant, so I want the other combiners to be either smaller or the same size as him.
I'm guessing on that scale, Uranus will be too big (sounds like something I would say to my wife)
Also, I wonder if FP will revisit Superion or Bruticus themselves.

It's rumored that the designer for Maketoys Giant is the same designer as the one behind these new Not-Stunticons. If that's the case, I'd be willing to bet they were also responsible for Not-Swindle / Not-Blastoff as well.
I'm in the same boat as you are, wondering if FP will revisit their old Crossfire projects. I'll be holding my breath and betting they will -eventually-, but while going out on that same limb... I'm going to assume it won't be for a long time yet. It wouldn't be hard for them to revisit Colossus. They're already 2/5ths done with it.
The tough part will be in playing the waiting game with all the new 3rd party releases... TFC doing Uranus along with concept sketches of Terrorcons. Mastermind doing Predacons. Not to mention that still leaves Defensor, Piranahcon and Monstructor on the back burner I'd say FP probably won't be worried about Superion and Bruticus until then.

Thanks for the info, that's pretty interesting stuff. I'm hoping that TFC Superion will lead to some people offloading their TF-enhanced Superion, which I will gratefully pounce on. Getting Bruticus will be harder, I fear. I wonder what sort of wage/commission these guys make? It must be frustrating to be uber cool designers, and remain anonymous.

It would be quite nice if the third parties followed suit with many toy companies and, at least on their adult collectibles, named the designers. Hasbro aren't doing it, so giving recognition to those responsible for some of these better transforming robot toys would be nice, and another way FP/TFC/PE/etc could claim that they care about people. Of course, there's also a potentially dangerous legal situation that some of these designers could face, so perhaps that's the reason for the anonymity?

Menasor is an absolute MUST BUY for me. I think a little part of me died when I had to pass on Core, but with so much expensive stuff coming out and my shelf space at a premium, I think I may have made the right call.
Seeing Assaulter in hand, though, is making me rethink that pass. It has such WEIGHT. Like MP-01 weight. I know structurally it makes no difference and it only makes it more costly to shop, but weight really adds value to a TF for me.
Mekatron wrote:Those Stunti-nons look very... menacing... can't wait!
Hexatron doesn't look quite as good as I thought he would... hopefully they add a bit to the color scheme, it's just way too bland.

Down_Shift wrote:Just a follow up from TFCon
I was treated to a few more images of the Stunticons. Wildrider and Drag Strip look great in vehicle mode and have completely different transformations unlike Deadend and Breakdown. Motormaster will be pretty big. His vehicle mode splits into three different parts for Menasor, and they've re-done the robot mode a bunch of times in the pursuit of perfection.
Lots more coming down the pipe! I'm setting up an interview with FPC soon and I'll be making a questions thread for fans to ask them. More on that later.

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything more about this?
