For those who don't know what TFCon is, it is Canada's version of Botcon. This year's exclusive will be Powered Commander by FansProject, which is a repaint of City Commander. For more information about this, and for details for people interested in the event, please go to: http://www.tfcon.ca/

Here is Magnus, pictured with the Powered Commander set.

From the looks of it, defiantly a homage to the original Powered Convoy.

Naturally I adore the City Commander mold...And I respect the homage to Powered Convoy with this repaint...

But you can't deny that thing is damn ugly...

FansProject showed off a custom make prototype for their City Commander upgrade set for Classics Ultra Magnus in Power Convoy colours last year at TFCon. This version became a big hit and many fans requested it to be made as a real set. Guess what FansÜroject just announced that at this years TFCon they will be selling the armour in that colour scheme as a TFCon exclusive!

Looks like. The face sort of looks thinner but I'm pretty sure that it's just the glare effect of being surrounded by bright red.

I'm with you there. Awesome mold, great homage, but the original Powerd Convoy has terrible colours.

Makes a cool exclusive though.

I really like the look of this, but: all common sense and past experience to the contrary, I still trust the official product a thousand times more than anything fan made.

An exclusive of a limited figure-hmmm. Guess I can scrap plans on trying to buy all three now. Since I live in GA, no way I can attend. And I'm simply not going to pay 2-3 times the price of the other sets just to get it from an online vendor.

FP let me down on this one.

At least I was right though, they were definitely producing the PC set, it just happened to be in very limited numbers.

Do you have any of these sets? They're made just as well as most Hasbro products are now and, at least in my experience, the paint apps are better. But if you've had bad luck in the past, I can see why you'd hesitate.

I cant make it to tfcon but I am getting this years collector's club exclusive.I BADLY WANT THIS POWERED COMMANDER! :evil:

I shall keep the tcc exclusive in box for anyone who wants to trade.

The set really does look good in those colors, and I like the Diaclone era reference. If I wasn't trying to save my exclusives money for stuff I don't already have versions of, I'd so go for one myself.

Too bad there's not a -blue- version of the Prime mold to go with it and make it really accurate, but still awesome.
