I will take up the CP request too, if anybody can get this set for me. Unfortunately I can't help with Botcon stuff, as I can't make it this year, but I'm sure we could work something out.

Has anyone gotten the registration form yet? I e-mailed them and asked them kindly to send me it this morning. Why don't they just post it on their site like BotCon. I've never filled out their pre-registration before. Is it like BotCon where you have to print it out and fax it in?

I have been anticipating this armor ever since I first saw the City Commander set, and they go and make it a slagging convention exclusive!?

Guess I'll take that Henkei Prime I was saving for it out of my pile of loot. I don't see any way I'll be able to get this for a decent price.

Crap. Couple this with the loose right foot and right shoulder tab on my Shadow Commander, and FansProject just lost a *lot* of goodwill with me.

On the other hand though, you could consider this as a good thing. How many fan made toys are actually able to be played with and look good straight out of the box? The fact that Fans Project has sucessfully released the City Commander armor twice along with a few other upgrade sets in such a short amount of time while maintaining QC that's been better than Hasbro's lately says a lot about the company. I think the fact that they now have their first convention exclusive says a lot about their products.

Granted this, will be one exclusive that will be freakin hard to get I think it's awesome that a fan produced upgrade set managed to become an exclusive.

You know, I think this might only be an exclusive in the sense that we'll get it first. Much like most of Canada's recent "exclusives". Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I can see this been re-released later in greater quantities through online sites. Possibly even with extras like the faceplate and sword Nemesis got.

An Exclusive is an exclusive. If they do re-release it at some other future point in time, I doubt it will be the same. Alas, I've never been to a Con before, and it looks like this is the best time to lose my convention virginity... #-o

The exclusives recently from the San Diego Comic Con have not remained as exclusives: Alternator Hotrod, Alternator Nemesis Prime, and Titanium Menasor.

I doubt I will ever make it to any convention and if I am able to get this figure I would need to buy classics prime first.
I want this so badly but can't get anything with expensive postage or if it is over $40. :sad:

Yeah, I wonder if they'll have any left that will sell later online like the SDCC exclusives. However, based on that illustration that was posted a couple of weeks ago, I think it's more likely that we're going to see some color variance and different accessories on a "mass release" set.

I would be willing to bet that a mass release set will happen and will closely match the final color scheme for the G3 trailer.

I'm also going to speculate that a mass release set will be limited to something in the neighborhood of 1000 pieces. I believe that the CC set was 3000 and the NC set was 1500. It would make sense for them to release 1000 in a mass release of this set and have the 500 special TFCon versions available. IMO, that would be a logical way to wrap-up releasing this Armor.
