Megs looks great, you have done a great job making the styrene work with you. Have you run into problems with the paint sticking?

im still curious as to how you're going to handle the shoulder mounted tank treads
my suggestion would that his shoulders would work exactly like Armada primes. The treads mounted to the outside of his shoulders would hinge open and his arms would go inside, then the treads would hinge back closed and voila

are you using the model from iaconcity.com as a reference?
If not I think you should. He worked out the transformation pretty accurately and the model looks great

*edit*
okay
watching his transformation video and looking at what youve built so far, here's what i see
He has the arms fold backwards into the backs of the shoulders. this works because when transformed into a tank, the arms would be stowed away underneath the tank. you have it so the arms look like they swivel into the shoulders ala Armada Megs
While workable, i think itd totally cause for more work making a hinge system for the tank tracks than it would cutting holes for the forearms to fold back into on the shoulders
just my 2 cents
i still love how its lookin

*All that above was all in sarcasm - BTW*
I love how you're using the G1 Megatron gun barrel thing for the turret cannon thing. Excellent!

Because I talked with Don and even that isn't accurate.
The Shoulders seperate from the body ala a fold in hinge ( But I did mine differently, possibly simpler ) then the upper chest/body turns compleately around.
The arms then slide up and into from under the shoulder area. (Fist into forarm, then forarm into shoulders.)
The sides parts of his wait fold upward to fill that empty space between the waist and the legs when folding into a tank and the legs pretty much do the armada megatron thing with with a couple bends.
The sheild then slides upward into it'sself to become half it's size and then clips between the shoulders and into the collar.
All before this happens Meg's head slides into his upper torso.
The cannon connects to the sheild and the long back cannon turns to face forward.
The Gan barrel part only mores up and down to position to fire. It has no need to shift durring transformation.
I study the TPB of WW and specificly the transformation sequence.
I'm leaving out minor details because if I did them I would never be finnished.
The shoulds are seperating like Don's but I'm not using a a fold in hinge.
I'm just working with a regular hinge and a swivel base.
This will alow the tank treds to lift in alt mode.
I am also doing the sheil just a bit differently as I'm not making it a steady part in alt mode but loose enouph when cliped onto the head to be able to move like some mechanical beasts head.
This to me isn't only a tank.
When I first saw the alt mode in the series I saw the slits that looked like simulated squinting eyes and said "That truely is a beast of a tank! "
I'd like to simulate that and incorperate it into my slight design modification.
I take it I'm the only one that noticed his alt mode looks surprisingly alot like the Thunder Tank in Thundercats?

Don't say that. For one, yours is a different scale.
Second, just becasue one is well built it doesn't mean it's the best.
All depends on people's personal preferance.
Keep at it. I'd love to see what others bring to the table.

Well, I see it now. The eye look to the head lights always reminded me of the BM tank drones.

He's on hold for a couple more weeks untill I'm finnished reorganizing my house and done making better parts and molding them.
After that I plan to get right back to it asap.
Just a little while more so be patient. If I rush I'll F* it up and I don't want that, and deep down....neither do you.
