For example, i'll start:

what would be a fitting name for a G1-style crocodile/alligator chracter?

You could try "Afterburn" or "Burn Rubber," or even "BurnFire" to go with the orange color.

Road Burn or all one word... I don't know which is more accepted:

Though if its not taken Burn out is more popular of term.

I have a souped up Black Subaru called "Outburn" so you can't have that. How about Burnout? Or Tire Burn. Or Carpet Burn?

I came up with a cool TF that is a Triple changer, from crotchrocket to a Raptor to a bot. I struggled for a long time with a name, but then I realized "velociraptor" was perfect as it is. Now to finish his kitbash that's taken me about 4 months...sigh...

I called him Sky-Slash. Take that, and I will visit upon you horrors, as their names cannot be spoken.
