Can't think of any potions those colors resemble. But Baja Blast is way better than all the others.

Skyward Sword as well as Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD will be there too. I also have all of the LoZ games they've released on both Wii U and 3DS Virtual Consoles..because I want all the games wherever I am

Yeah, those two and Wind Waker HD are the only Zelda things I have, and I only bought HWL for the Wind Waker stuff.

It works!!
Looks cool (to me)!!
Included controller = do not use. Clicky McClickface.
8bitdo SNES30 = ALLOFTHEWIN
NES/Genesis/SNES controllers = AMAZING
Was already up to date out of the box!
I tried at least one game of each SNES/Genesis/GBA/NES (I think 15 total?) and had no issues with any!!
Interface is nice, filter options are fun!
DO NOT USE SCANLINES ON A PLASMATOOV

Real talk, emulation: I've done a **** pile of it. Scalelines are neat for about 30 seconds. I dig a few filters, but always just go back to pixelated sauce-some-ness! Good to know about those controllers because that makes all the difference in the world. Are they USB? Do they work on a PC?

So! The Retron5 uses emulation but requires the original game as a "key" to play the game. The scan lines work fine when the room is well lit as they aren't the focal point for your eyes. At night though? No thanks.

ALL of the 8bitdo controllers are Bluetooth with USB charging cables. So, for PCs, they can be either USB or Bluetooth! And for iOS and Android, they are Bluetooth only but local multiplayer IS supported!

My friend had the NES30 model, not the Pro version with the analog sticks, and I really liked them but definitely prefer the more comfortable SNES30 (the NES30 Pro has a similar shape). I just didn't want the analog sticks for the Retron5

I highly recommend them!

So here's some stuff and things that have happened!

As you know, I've been on a retro game kick. So here's some more items that arrived!


It's really awesome that all of these games just work in the Retron5.

Also, Sunday was Father's Day, so here's my haul from my baby girl and amazing wife!

My baby girl and I look at the sky every night (usually with the Sky View App) and she loves the moon. Now we have matching shirts

And here's some things from yesterday! I stopped by GameStop to kill some time and one of the clerks recognized me and asked if I picked up Mighty No.9 yet. I said that I hadn't but I did plan on it due to my love for Mega Man. They had one copy left, and I also had a $10 off coupon. Hooray! And I picked up the fabled "Future" (at Walmart, not GameStop ) so I could try it out on a few bots with the loosey goosey joints. We shall see what happens..


And lastly, these showed up yesterday, a surprise from my brother-in-law!

I love those shoes!!!! And Turtles!!!

I was staring at some overpriced SNES games today. Nothing jumped out at me though.

Is that a super famicom game I spy? The retron5 plays those as well... wot?

I thought you knew all it did! It's so much stuff! $140 is the lowest I've seen it so far, and I paid less thanks to rewards points and some trade credit. Problem is, the controller it comes with isn't worth using unless you love to hear the click of a mouse. Wired pads or the 8bitdo controllers are where it's at.

In unrelated related news, picked this up yesterday!

It's a lot of fun so far, the first level is The Battle of Endor from Return of the Jedi!!

I also need to start playing LEGO Marvel's Avengers that I picked up the other day as my FREE item in the "Buy 2 get 1 free" pre-owned (the other two pre-owned items were Wii U Pro Controllers). AND I've purchased some SNES games for the *new* 3DS XL in the Virtual Console side of the eShop. Dang you Nintendo!

And you know, with all of that back and forth hemming and hawing on buying another system or not..I'm really glad I stuck with my existing Nintendo gear and bought that Retron5.

I was thinking about this the other day too, I could take my Wii back from mom's house (that is never used) and pick up some of the SSB Wii U GC controllers and use it for GC games in 480p! Maaaaaaaaybe.

Speaking of not running well, it really hurts me inside that I would need to buy the newer 3dsxl to get the legends of hyrule game that I so really want, hopefully the Sogaleo/Lunala 3ds gets released in the States...
