Those 8bitdo gamepads are the baller. You have an emulator on your Android phone/tablet or Windows/Mac PC? You need 8bitdo gamepads. Everyone plays the classics. Everyone :-D

haha, my extent of gaming is Pac Man (Worlds 2+3 and World Rally) and Nascar racing on PS2 and my not-3D DS. Favorite game has to be my classics 80's arcade pack with Pac Man, Dig Dug, etc.

D-Max, the Retron5 is a multi-format gaming console that requires use of gamepaks to play the classic games, but still uses ROMs and emulation. I really hope it's awesome or I will be a sad panda this weekend.

The only DS game I still have (as I pretty much have the newer versions on *new* 3DS) is Contra 4. Which I love. Luckily I still have all of my Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games :-D

You mean the Playstation Neo? You should probably ask the resident PS gamer. No release date yet. It appears MS is making a Xbone.5 as well. I'll never understand these halfie update systems, other than its a cash grab and makes us with the older version feel bad. Yeah I'm looking at you *new* 3DS.

Reminds me of the Neo Geo. Did anyone ever have one of those pricey things? I had a Neo Geo Pocket Color. It was aught.

Now back to class. I've never played the Stick of Truth, but I've heard good things. Target had it on clearance for $15 a month or so ago and I should have picked it up. Oh well... someday.

Well, to answer Shaj's question..no "official" date but all signs point to November for an updated PS4. They want to capitalize on VR and updated hardware I think. It's also one of the reasons Nintendo has pushed the NX to March next year, polishing the system (and Pokemon is also in November) but also not going head-to-head with Sony.

I will probably pick up the Xbox One Slim myself, a lot of my old XBL stuff transfers over! As far as hardware updates..Sega CD and 32X were things that happened too. Just to give people mid-tier updates. Not a bad thing if you can utilize what you already have, in this case, not so much of a good thing..

Goddammit Zelda, why you make me spend the money. From what I hear that game is gong release on the WiiU and the NX, Ala twilight princess GC/Wii release.

So now that VR is on the table, any one care? So far all I see are tech demos and no good reason to jump. I always wait a year for new hardware anyway to see how it goes and to wait for a price drop.

Woooooooooooooooooooooo Legend of Zelda!!!! It SOUNDS amazing. The WHOLE BOOTH at e3 is going to be all about it?! Dang!! And yeah, a dual release, I'm wondering how much more they are putting into the NX version over the Wii U version? Hopefully nothing, and it just means owners of either system can get it.

VR = no thanks. I don't want to be visually blocked off from the outside world. I enjoy my peripheral vision :lol:

Augmented Reality? Pretty cool. Like the Microsoft Hololens. Or even the AR games on smartphones/3DS.

VR seems neat and I'm curious, but I don't play a lot of games that would utilize it fully. It'd just be a bit more immersive.

I get completely lost in a wide screen TV anyway.

Also the PS VR is going be the same price as a PS4.

Speaking of gimmicks, I hope Nintendo just releases a console with a controller that hooks to a TV. Wouldn't that be nice?

I'm not a fan of gimmicks. Especially when they are forced in, like a lot of the vita games that use touch for no other reason than its an option.

Screen on controller, dreamcast did it and I wasn't impressed. My Vita can do it with the ps4, not impressed. Played the WiiU demos, not impressed.

I'm sure there is a 1 in 100 game that used what ever gimmick the console offers, but I'd rather just skip. As you already know I'm hear for pure game play only. So you can have the gimmicks, just don't shoehorn them into a game out of obligation (vita).
