I'm still using my S5. GF has the S7 and between it and the specs for the S8 I've yet to really see a reason to upgrade. The only advantage I've found the S7 has over the S5 is the S7 is much better at night.
Frankly, Samsung have dropped the ball with the camera on the S8. This is one of the rare occasions where I'll give Apple credit, they did good with the iPhone7 camera.
