It is the year 2017. The boundaries of space and time themselves have been damaged, maybe beyond repair, by the works of the 13 Primes, Brainstorm, and Fanboy Outrage. As the space/time continuum continues to unravel, Transformers begin to meet different versions of themselves, from across the stars and across dimensional rift. Sometimes the meetings are friendly, sometimes they are enlightening, and then, sometimes, they are devastating.
Nightwatch Optimus Prime, a being from the 2007 live-action film age and outfitted with AllSpark armor, drives along a desolate desert, with no signs of life to be found.
But then, on the horizon, he spots a lone dust cloud, and it is headed his way. At first confused by the sighting, a closer look and about a minute of times passage reveals the form to be a purple cab-over with a black trailer
Realization hits Nightwatch: that truck is not only headed straight at him, but is accelerating. As the knowledge that this is a potential violent encounter, Nightwatch braces for impact, and floors the accelerator, charging his new foe.
With a horrifying crash, the 2 foes smash into each other at a combined 300 MPH speed, hitting grills a bit off-center
With as much speed as he can muster, Nightwatch transforms into robot mode, as his foe does so as well, all while hanging loose in mid-air suspended animation
Landing on their feet, the titans complete their transformation
Activating his allspark powered Ion cannon, Nightwatch calls out "who are you, who do you believe deserves freedom, and how do you believe this freedom is obtained?"
His adversary, whom Nightwatch recognizes as a darker version of himself, calls back "I am Optimsu Prime, and I send you this message: Freedom is no ones right, and all shall bow before me, for I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, and all shall crumble under my mighty die-cast heel!!"
As the newcomer, shattering hopes of a peaceful meeting by drawing his own ion cannon from his back, prepares to attack, Nightwatch offers one final offer of truce
"Freedom is everyone's right" he booms, "and you shall never take that away from them. Stand down now, this is your final warning."
"I stand down to no one" booms the purple venger, and in quick motion, both titans fire their cannons, managing to miss each other but blasting each others weapons away.
With ranged weapons tossed aside, the 2 combatants come face to face, ready to throw down and fight to the death as warriors of old
"You shall not succeed" Nightwatch booms out, winding up to throw his punch
"And you shall not LIVE!" shattered screams out, firing off a deadly uppercut in response
Nightwatch, and his allspark powered punches, quickly drive home several hits
Struck down to his knees, Nightwatch pleads with this twisted bot to come to his senses
But alas, not only does Shattered not have any, but he is still more than capable of fighting back!
"AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" cries out Nightwatch, taking a somersaulting boot to the face.
"You shall never win. you shall only die! and you shall do so PAINFULLY FOR DEFYING MY MIGHT!!!"
"your faceplate... it's too shiny. HAVE A PAIR OF FISTS!!!!"
"And stay down, you old rust bucket."
"You were not match for the mighty Optimus Prime. You may look like me, but you will never be on my level. And as your spark fades away, as my axe splits your chest and head in 2, I want you to remember that I am the ruler of all there ever was, and all that there ever will be!!!!"
Just as Shattered starts to bring his axe down, a horn sounds off. And then, without warning...
"BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
"Get up brother. We have a fight to win"
"Prime! you still function!"
"Yes I do, and it is time we both stayed functional and defeat this Prime. He is not like us. he is our mirror, our opposite, the worst we could ever be realized. and it is time we put a halt to his reign!
"NOOOOOO" bellowed shattered Prime. "no Prime, no matter how many, can defeat ME!"
"Are you ready to test that theory, oh mighty Prime?"
"Oh, so unwise"
"Argh! you shall never win Prime! You cannot win!"
"Ah but I will and I can! I will keep winning, and I will keep conquering, TILL ALL ARE GONE!!! and do you really think you can stop me Priiiiiiime?"
"Time to find out"
Holding both of their chest and arms, brutally beaten with each other's blades, the combatants looks each other in the optics once more.
"Is that the best you can do?" asks shattered Prime to his beaten adversary.
"No, but I only needed to distract you Prime"
At the same moment realization hits shattered that he had been played, an Ion cannons retort reaches his ear, and with no time to even think or react, a blast rips through his chest, blasting it clear open!
"And I shall disarm you of this!" calls out Prime
Lying helpless and immobile, the fight is knocked out of the emperor of destruction.
Mortally wounded, the shattered Prime calls out to his brethren: "do you think yourselves superior to me? I have not yet begun to fight. Should I die here, I will only return more powerful! I will claim your sparks as my own, and I shall rule the multiverse!!!! AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!"
Knowing there can be no peace while this dark Prime live, Nightwatch charges his ion cannon.
"Forgive me" he says
As the life fades from shattered's eyes, Nightwatch looks to his side, where a weird matrix thing has fallen from the tyrants chest.
"While I do not yet know what this is, I feel its immense power pulsating through me. this talisman, while in the possession of the destructor, is an object of pure energy and spirit. We shall carry it, and maybe one day, restore the multiverse to its normal state of balance. "
Looking to his equal, Nightwatch asks him to join him in carrying the device and bringing peace to the multiverse.
"How could I refuse" his new partner claims
"Now let us go bring light to the darkness, peace to the war torn, and balance to the force"
