What a way to ring in 100 pages of the Den, D-Max!!

I agree with ‘Cram, what a great way to enter the triple digits.
Grimlock looks absolutely killer, even if he’s not as massive as we originally thought. I gotta say, I haven’t been this excited for mainline products in far too long. Studio Series is shaping up to be amazing.

I wanted to do a bit more with this, like I originally intended for Grimlock to fight the Stunticons in robot mode and then convert to beast mode to take on the combiners, ripping limbs off with his dino head. But then I ended up doing the Stunti-fight in dino mode and it made sense to have a tall ass Grimlock fight a combiner.

I also decided against re-combining Menasor for the final fight because I didn't feel like combining him, ripping him apart, and then trying to put him back together and back on a shelf

I am going to be taking a lot of pictures here over the coming weeks, I got a lot of guys who really need some camera time, and I need to clean and move some things around, not 100% satisfied with everything yet. And we got a SS Thundercracker coming from the Densh, a MPM-05 on the slow boat, eventually a LG62, War Hammer Bee, MP-40, and a Greatshot from TFsource once the latter comes in stock, and something very special I will be paying for and having shipped from someone from a Facebook group early next week. So we got bots!

And after that I am taking a break, gonna patiently wait on PotP wave 2 deluxes and prime masters and the rest of the SS guys. Maybe wait until mid may before buying anything more, just to give me time and also to save guys so the latter part of the year isn't boring

Anyhoo, anyone wanna guess what the very special thing will be? Hint: it is a complete version of a mold I already have that's not complete in a different color scheme and it's appeal to me came from an IDW mini-series.

I'm guessing Drift.

Or Impactor.

OR Tidal Wave turning into a whale.

Hmm...honestly I don’t have any ideas. Is it a recent miniseries and could it be a continuation of the Beast hunt?

Seeing Combiners merge for the kill is always a favorite sight to behold as well -- love it, D-Max.

Nope, Nope, and Nope. I will get the WFC Impactor next year, though i plan to try to limit myself in those figures.

Grim is the best! He is figure of the year for me so far, and little looks to overtake him, despite how cool Blackout and Optimal Optimus look!

Hot. Damn. Guys. Thundercracker and Grimlock are both fantastically awesomesauce!!!

The first thing Cracker had going for him was being a Nitro Zeus with new head and paint work. That mold and figure was my figure of the year for 2017, so I was already thrilled. the second thing is that Cracker is my favorite seeker. Thirdly, He improves upon Nitro Zeus in the ways that Nitro was lacking: the paintwork. The paint is gorgeous! The blue is amazing and I love the red and white in jet mode along with the black, grey, and yellow from robot mode. It's gorgeous! And finally, that head is so slick. It's like a cross between Waspinator and movie Starscream, and the paint work is perfect on it.

so without further ado, have some pictures, including one featuring another cool thing about Zues/Cracker: that back jet kibble, while cool looking to some and cumbersome and lazy to others, makes for a great perching help.

So a few pictures to show off.

Firstly, I took Grimlock with me to the office Friday (and I have been encouraged to bring bots regularly, so starting tomorrow, I will be taking a figure in every day, I didn't the past few) and he had some fun. Also found out the head of my department stopped in and took pictures of him while I was away. My camera ain't the only one he's seeing!

That's great you got other co-workers who can appreciate, D-Max! I had one other who did (she loved Bayverse Optimus Prime), but no G1ers like me.

I gotta say the new Grimlock looks perfect -- I have a special place in mah heart for the original....but he had stick legs lol

I love tomato soup! Homemade is even better.

So my deskbot tradition is starting up in full. Today's desk bot was good ole TM2 Chopperface:




Then I learned that my MPM-05 is actually a KO. guy didn't say anything in the listings, and now I feel rotten and angry with him. Helps explain my roof tabbing issue as well as the shoulders.

And then I pre-ordered this. I was going to need to get something in June to ship the Falcon free, and this is it. I only have a single upgrade kit, for FoC Ruination, and that was because it was half off and I love Ruination enough to want to see him excel. And the same goes for Volcanicus: I love the idea, and this is one of the very few I want to see make his peak (pic is a link)



And finally, I am moving stuff around again because I still am not happy with where things are. Here is the Legendary Warriors shelf, which I am still very proud of as it gets better and better to me:



It has a lot of Optimus', Rodimus', my Alpha Trion, my Elita-1, some Grimlocks, and Metalhawk and some tiny dudes from Japanese source material. I love it.

That Volcanicus upgraded looks fantastic -- almost makes me wanna hunt all of 'em down now....!

As soon as I ordered MP36 from HLJ, I got obsessed with checking for signs of KO....and he's legit, as expected, from HLJ.

Densh passed on the word that EBay was full of KOs, which how they have knocked off an MP so quickly when he hasn't even been widely available for more than 2 months or so baffles me, and I used that guide in the MPM5 thread to find out my trunk had the wonky stickers.

And that dinoset is the bomb guys!!!

Now, onto the the past weekend which featured a lot of of cool stuff!!!

up first, Quite Possibly my most random haul ever:



RiD Galvatron complete, RTS Solar Storm Grapple complete, Thrilling 30 Waspinator (came mint), Prime Knockout (came mint), generations Thunderwing, and RiD 2001 Dark Scream, all complete.

RiD Galvatron came from a seller in the Facebook group I'm part of, and for $35, I could not pass up a complete version of this guy.

The other 5 came from a local nerd shop I discovered with my girlfriend saturday. Also found a comic store and bought some old Beast Wars TPBs, LL volume 2, and the Allspark Almanac.

All 6 figures between them, including tax and shipping in Galvatron's case, cost me $148. Can't beat it really.

up next, we got some desk bots! I love the SG Rod sass, and Tigerhawk in general. My one boss really likes stopping on his way in to see who deskbot of the day is





My girlfriend was up for the whole weekend, we did a one off fancy dinner Friday (too expensive and we both like unhealthy American food too much to do it again), went to the Zoo with my sister and her Boyfriend saturday, where I bought a raptor claw that I now wear all the time, including to work! Then came the adventures where I found the figures above, and then Sunday we made homemade pizza, complete with basil and a drizzle of Arizona ranch, and it was the best homemade pizza I have ever had.

Anyway, pictures! Beware, my ugly mug is in several of them, as I met and talked with Cheetor and saw Rhinox. and we rode a turtle like noble knights (or at least I did...)

I need to make sure i go there sparingly, just in case. They had a mint and a loose/complete Sky Shadow from Thunderwing, but I figured I already had the great leader, so I was good. They also had CW guys, T30 Sky Byte, T30 Dreadwing, and others. They also had a broken Gobot.

And that comic store? They had some wave 1 TR as well as 3 CW deluxe Grooves!

A few pictures of the new guys! Thunderwing has actually proven to be very addicting and fun, which is funny considering he was the cheapest and he is the one who has the least amount of robot/alt mode parts crossover. But he's great! He was deskbot on Tuesday!

And then Devil Gigatron, oh my how great he is with all his parts. One thing I really love about Beastformers: getting all the extra limbs involved.




I also found Grapple to be quite fun, i like making the Thew joke about how just because he is an architect doesn't mean he needs to look like a building.

Once Darkscream is back together he will be great too. His robot mode is very appealing for some reason, and I love squirrels.

Knockout is sexy, and that is that.

Waspinator is fun in robot mode, he'll look good once I organize my shelves like I've been meaning to for almost a week since I moved some things around to get the bots all in one room. grrr motivation!

You know, that Thunderwing has been a back and forth sale or no sale deskbot for quite some time. I also picked him up cheap, I think $12 shipped MOSC!! Devil Gigatron looks awesome. I've gone back and forth on that guy a lot.

$12 is exactly how much I spent on Thunderwing! He is pretty swell, as is Gigatron.

And now, for today's deskbot: Grapple! I find it really funny that he can sort of wield his crane as a gatling gun. He really is a fun figure, and I'm glad I got this mold for a character.

I was going to get that Thunderwing but then got lucky in obtaining the G1 original for a bargain. Not even close to $12, but still decent....even if he was missing his cyclone gun. That thing goes for about $50+ alone. >_<
