I got a shipping notice at 10:45 this morning, and he was here at 4:45 this afternoon. I am impressed with him, the snow camo is awesome and the mold itself is pretty good!

Yep, first experience with it. The tank mode is a bit eeehhhhhh, but the robot mode is fantastic, and I love these color schemes.
I also realized something last night after I got him: I am enjoying the new lines in the new year more than when I was with the past 4 years, and for a different reason than you might think. I enjoy thinking about how I am finding them in stores and picking them up there. There isn't a reason to go online, save for exclusives, since I'm not trying to complete a roster of characters or I need to finish a combiner. It's refreshing to relax, kinda ignore the online orders, and just look in stores and find them at a sweet and slow rate. That is something I really feel i lacked in the past many years, I bought so much online new stuff and it kinda took away from the fun of it.
It also helps you maybe find you do or don't want a figure you maybe did not want or did want, respectively. It helps shape your decisions more, and it makes some figures feel more meaningful too.
Last night, my power was out for over 2 hours. I hated it, I have a fear of the dark and there was a creepy alarm going off thanks to the power outage. So I ran away off to Target and then Walmart for a sniff, postponing coming back as long as i could before my normal bedtime and hope the power was back. And while I was out, the stores were pretty barren, SS stuff currently labeled out of stock, which sucks cause the new voyagers and leaders are what I'm looking for, and still no leader price tags at all, so no Shockwave yet.
But there on the shelf was another Optimus Prime. And I picked him up, checked him out, walked around with him, and then bought him. And even though I wasn't going to, especially with the Leader and the SS38 one coming, I did, and wow do I not regret it. He is really fantastic! So the power outage led me to a reverse decision and a pretty great figure. I have no regrets, and he goes with Snow Camo Megs pretty darn well.
Anyway, onto a picture dump as we catch up on some Deskbots, including some Beast guys that I adore, Some fun and clunky Armada, and some MP Bees who are starting to get along, among others. I also discovered the MPM-3 has headlight/chest piping in robot mode, which is pretty sweet. I also love that Armada Prime is getting a revisit, as is Star Convoy, and the Ghostbusters/TF thing is the best crossover I have seen, that is so awesome. Ectotron is my wallpaper at work now too with that Nick Roche artwork piece from the comic news.

Took this one while my apartment was lit by my computer screen. I like the silhouette look, I might try this again in later photos

I like the sound of your TFing journey, sounds nice and relaxed. Siege has been a lot easier to get, or it seems so. Maybe less priority. All the figures so far have been really good.
Prime's pretty awesome huh!

It is nice and relaxed, and it feels good to have that more relaxed and fun journey. There are a few I really want, but I feel confident in saying I will see them eventually, so no rush.
Prime is really awesome. I have already transformed him more times than Megatron, and I've been posing him around a lot more too!
And nah, he's here to stay

On my way to my girlfriends for the weekend, I stopped at Walmart to pick up stuff to make a homemade BBQ chicken pizza. And while I was there, I saw Siege Shockwave at last! But, something inside me wasn't committed to him at that point, and I passed on him.
Stopped back at that walmart this evening on my way home, decided I needed to get him. Went back, and not only was he there, but so was a freshly unpacked SS Megatron and Jetfire! Seems like some sort of higher power was asking me to wait for those 2 to hit the shelf.
so for the first time ever, I bought 3 Leader figures at once. The 2 SS ones rung up at $44.97 though, so a bit of a break. Hopefully that is the only time I ever even have to think about 3 leaders at once.

Large update time!
First things first, cause I got in the mood to do it tonight, have some shots of first all my optimus "power ups" and then a shot of every single Optimus Prime I own!

Next up, minus Dinobot, here is an updated shot of my MP shelf

Next up, a request from a coworker for a pink robot, where I only have one and i already brought her to work once, so I brought her mighty steed too!

How about some awesome Hobo Megatron shots!

And finally, have some Siege!

Had a pretty good Sunday, put together 6 Kabaya kits! Only 4 to go, but until I find Kabaya Streetwise and First Aid, I am hesitant to put the other 4 together cause I want the combiner. And those 2 are scarce and unfindable at this time

Did some shuffling around the apartment, moved my smaller bookshelf to my bedroom for my old TV and my Star Wars guys, and put up a new larger shelf in its place! Thanks to the increased space, my Prime/RiD guys have much more room and you can see them better, the Beast Warriors now have 2 full shelves to themselves, along with overflow room to the bottom shelf with some Generations guys, and the Top shelf is now home to my small but really cool and well loved Unicron Trilogy shelf!
Speaking of which, included are some new shots of Unicron of light. As Cobro put it in the Toy Haul Thread, the Big Green Giant (Ho ho hooooooo) is a really awesome thing. I am so glad he is the Unicron mold now in my collection, he and Cybertron go together so well.
Debating getting a stand for his planet mode. Should I?
Anyway, have some pics of the new collection layout, including a new Movie Megatron shelf, and Unigreen!

I also need a stand for Unicron. Planet mode looks so nice that he really displays well if propped up correctly!!

Did you know that if you change the title of the first post of a thread it will change any replies that don't quote a post?Scramjet wrote:I was going to let my other thread die and start anew. WHY'D YOU POST THERE?!
I've changed the name of my thread at least twice.
But you can still let it die, threads go inactive quick around here.

But it didn't! I checked! Especially in the threads that NO ONE (or very few) replied to (like sales and customizations)! Seriously though, it's a database right? Find all instances of X change to Y and BOOM.
Well it was dying, and D-Max revived it.

Mine did, could be a problem with their DB. Or you didn't change the title of your first post.Scramjet wrote:But it didn't! I checked! Again changing the title of your fist post will only change new posts and replies (that don't quote another post). Change the title and make a new post, you'll see.
And yes, being that the website pulls from a DB if someone wanted to spend enough time to do a find and replace they could, but it's not worth it for one user. So all old post are frozen as is unless someone manually changes them.

Cram! There you are buddy! I've been worried about you, you've been way too quiet as of late.
Where does the bookshelf look familiar??/
I did buy a Stand for Unicron! Got a 6" flight stand on a recommendation in a Facebook chat, should be here this weekend to try out!
I didn't know you were trying to let your thread die! See note 1 for my concerns for your well being!
Yeah, if you change the first post's title, all new posts after that will feature the new name. You can see it in my thread, the page 1 posts have the original "D-Max Collection Compilation!" title, but after i switched it to the far better Den name, all posts after that use the name.
So clearly, you must rename your thread, and then post about 15 update posts so we have tons to respond to and so we'll bury the original name in the past!

I want the deets on that flight stand when you get it. Price and where to buy. I'm assuming it's pretty sturdy. I've been looking for a stand that can support and entire combiner.

Based on the guy who recommended it, his has been holding up Unicron in planet mode for quite some time. It's a 3 prong flight stand available in 3 different sizes.
Here is a link to check it out. I'll be letting you know how it works out next week, I want to try it out with Leader Thundercracker in jet mode, and then see if it's any good for robot mode poses

Ah those are cool and I wouldn't mind having one for photos, but I almost never display my figures in alt mode. MP Starscream is the only exception but as you know he comes with a dual purpose stand.
Basically I'm looking for a larger heavy duty flight stand, but it's pretty low on the priory list.
Thanks for the info. I am excited to see how it works out for you though.

It's never been a priority of mine either, I don't display many figures in alt mode, the ones I do are cars. But I think it'll be cool to have 1 for planets and jets and even some robot action, depending on if it works that way.
We'll see next week! I'm stoked to try it out.
