No it's not. It's just some brown triangles and the face it gives you is terrible. Plus quote a few stickers in that set are not for magnaboss and 7$ shipping for something that can just be placed in an envelope is ridiculous. A deluxe transformer from Japan costs less to ship than that.

I feel you weren't a fan of it to begin with Will?
And yes, the shipping surprised me
Does anyone else think that Reprolabels will make a much better set, and maybe even Renderform will make a new proper head for this Magnaboss Botcon nonsense?william-james88 wrote:No it's not. I'm always talking firetrucks, police cars, construction vehicles; that deco was my preferred until the CW version came around. So why that version, jaki?shajaki wrote:And if we're still talking about firetrucks, this was my favorite use of that mold:

5$ for a novelty at a con is fine. But 32$ is nonsensical. You are better off waiting for the chance that reprolabels makes a comparable set which will cost half that and be way better. And in any case, that sticker set is still available in the club store, you just have to buy the 2 toys it comes with. Not that you would but all of it will be sold eventually and those who dont want the sticker sheet will sell it on e-bay and the supply will make up for the demand and the price will be lower. With club exclusives, its always mot expensive right after the convention. Wait a year and get it for 10$.
I dunno, maybe its just nostalgia? I had G1 Hotspot as a kid, and I love the new head sculpt they gave himcarytheone wrote:I'm always talking firetrucks, police cars, construction vehicles; that deco was my preferred until the CW version came around. I'm all for cartoon accuracy, and I've been buying both CW and UW. I was actually pretty bummed when I realized that neither one would be sporting the OG toy accurate black headSillySpringer wrote:Am I the only one here that prefers Hot Spot with a black head? If I get CW HS, I'm 95.8 percent sure that I am going to paint the head black.

I forgot the CW had a blue head until all the talk over the Grapple/Inferno mold. It bugged the **** out of me when I first got him. Now I want to go try and paint the CW version's head.shajaki wrote:I'm all for cartoon accuracy, and I've been buying both CW and UW. question: Favorite simple machine and a project that's fun and involves them.
Go.

So random - how about something that involves small electric motors/generators. Using something that spins the motor and lights a small LED. A simple way to illustrate the conservation of energy.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:Ok guys, a little outside standard transformers talk but... I need some opinions. Pendulum. Put the kids in teams and provide them with whatever length string, a weight (like a heavy washer), paper clip, tell them to attach it anywhere in the classroom (desk, chair, etc) and see who's swings the longest (hint, it's the one who attaches the 8 feet of string to the ceiling).D-Maximus_Primal wrote:Yep, very random, but i needed inspiration. Thanks Cary!

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Well that was fun to look at.
Last night I was thinking it's been a while since I messed with that squad. You just inspired me to pull him down off the shelf.
