That is correct and they email just before billing, so it appears possible to still back out at the last second. But take that as a YMMV. Once it moves from preorder to bought it's yours. No cancelations no refunds. Unless defective of course.

Now if I have an item in my stack and it is in stock, is it saved, or can it be bought by someone else while it's in my stack? I got the last loose Roadbuster to finish out the shipping but since I need to wait on Computron, can someone buy him even if he's in my stack?

Wait! Wait! Did you pay for him? No instock item is safe sitting in your cart. You must pay and put him in your PoL, or PW, or whatever they call it a TFS.

Safe in your stack yes, safe in your cart no.

Once you reserve a preorder it's yours unless they just fudge it up. If you actually buy something it literally moves to a bin just for you. So if you made a mixed order of in stock and pre order, the in stock stuff is yours. Now they do allow you to pre pay over there so thread lightly. If you pre pay your committing to purchase, but that doesn't seem to be an issue here.

I have an ongoing stack that I slot stuff into and I've canceled a few pre orders. When I bought Devy and the extra figure to get free shipping I paid for it all at the time of order. I will admit their shopping cart is a bit confusing.

So are you getting UW or CW?

Generations Roadbuster and UW Computron are now safe in my stack. I have not paid for anything yet, but they are both in my stack and he is showing out of stock in the place where I got him, so I'm going to say he's safe. The stack has the option to "ship your stack" and both show "not paid" but they are both safe now. I'll just pay and ship once Computron comes in stock.

Yup, all is well and that is exactly how it works. You'll get a bill for the in stock probably tomorrow. Once you pay it changes to paid.

Can you tell I've given them a lot of my money?

Cool beans. The unite warriors one to me was just so fantastic and it looks unique. My main issue with the CW one was that the head was the same as Superions, there was no torso remolding, and the use of a straight repaint Brawl and Streetwise. Afterburner, Strafe, and Scrounge were the good parts, but the UW was far superior to my liking. Oh and since I did not get groove nor blastoff, it means 2 new molds for me.

So I'll need to pay for Roadbuster probably tomorrow huh? He can't just stay in my stack unpaid until I get Computron in stock and ready and then pay all at once?

Thanks you! For Prowl's "mane" I bought some sunflower stickers, just the 97 cent ones, and guy them up to look like some lion's mane. The black and silver were then the 97 cent letters like people would use to spell their names and such. They were all cut up to look as good as possible, though I still think Sunstreaker could have turned out better, plus I wish I could have used better stickers, but it was all they had that really worked for my idea.
