Hasbro had said that they didn't want Megs transforming into a gun b/c they wouldn't market a toy like that, which makes sense. Megatrons transformation is beyond weak. He's the big, bad ass leader of the decepticons, turns into a super powerful weapon, but someone else has to use him in his alt mode to shoot him? It's like Darth Vader turning into a lightsaber and then someone else having to wield the weapon. (My favorite metaphor with this entire discussion). Thankfully Galvatron gets a better alt mode, but who came up with that idea for Megs in the first place?

Back to the topic discussion.... just because the All Spark was mostly destroyed that doesn't mean it's not a plot device. And if the All Spark is suppose to be this all powerful, even and objectified "God-like" artifact to the Transformers, then maybe even only a piece has some type of power. Even if it didn't have any power it could still be used as a type of symbol for hope. The whole idea that if there is even a piece of the All Spark then maybe they can save their world? :p I dunno. I'm just throwing out random ideas here.

I'm pretty sure you can hear the piece of the Allspark being crushed when Prime squeezes it in his hand, I really don't think it will be making a comeback

The only thing I liked about Galvatron is that he was insane from boiling in lava for however long. That made him interesting. But I loved Megatron and think turning into a gun is super menacing.

Anyway I think the All Spark will regenerate itself. It grew Frenzy a new body. Give it some time or some Autobot tender love and care and it'll probably just grow back. It does have the power to create life where none exists so regeneration isn't too far of a stretch.

Galvatrons lava baths made him stronger, he states that in one of the five faces of darkness episodes but he went insane from the initial format change when unicron changed him from megatron into galvatron and probably having a bunch of incompetent fools doing his bidding did not help his sanity either.

As a matter of fact his first action as Galvatron might have been the first really "sane" thing he ever did....ether as Megatron or Galvatron.

I would say the lava bath was the cause of his insability.

Taking on all those sweeps plus cyclonus and defeating them all, being able to lay waste to all of webworld are to very good examples of his superior strength.

I simply meant that was the start of it and not that he was totally ape sh*t from the start, the format change and also unicrons torturing also played a part.

Web world did not seem to have much in the way of offencive capabilties so their defeat is nothing special

Both Cyclonus and the Sweeps were in a weakend state so defeating them was no real feat.

And when you compair the amount of damage that he inflicted on them and any of the Autobots he attacked in "5 faces of darkness" to the single shot kill of Starscream in the movie how can you call his lava bath strength superior???

He showed no sign's of being crazy at all right after his upgrade to Galvatron.

Every action that can be considered insane happened after the lava bath.

To me thats proof that the bath cause the instabilty.

Maybe the allspark pulled Megatron's spark out and it's now trapped in the fragment that Optimus has. And sometime in the next movie it gets transfered to an earth vehicle providing him with a new body. Kinda like what happened in beast machines.

i think he kept it. i mean they were trying to save it and as a last resort Optimus Prime would absorb it.

Wouldnt a object that restores life like it did to Frenzy be able to regenasize itsself back to a whole cube?

Maybe he keeps it 'cause he wants a reminder what would have happened if the Allspark had really gotten into the wrong hands. Or he wants soemthing to remember his "brother" by...

I personally wouldn't mind either way. Plot device or not. Though, I secretly wish for Jazz to come back. Though, that would be like bringing Prime back from the classic G1 and I would be considered one of those annoying whiners...

Anyway...I'm just pumped there's a sequal ^__^
