That would be totally UNawesome. The MP line is about G1 cartoon accuracy. Repainting or retooling a figure into another that bears little resemblance to the first would certainly not satisfy that criteria! If they did that it would be at least as stupid as releasing movie figures in the line

I'm hoping for Galvatron. We've got two leaders of the Autobots, the leader of the dinobots who challenged Prime for leadership, the leader of the Decepticons and the one who constantly challenged him for the position. Galvatron is the most logical follow up.

I does read as a little pompous but you're entitled to your opinion. I have to say I that whilst I think that Galvatron should be made before any of the non-leader characters, I couldn't disagree with you more about a Masterpiece Blaster- that would be all kinds of awesome.

To be honest I think the 2010 Unicron is as big/good as they will ever do him, but you never know.

I find ShockWave, SoundWave, or galvatron most likely though.

I think the success of City Commander should show them that the character of Ultra Magnus is as popular as ever and that a second version (maybe copying Fansproject a bit) similar to what they've done with Masterpiece Rodimus or upgrade set would go down really well with us collectors.

I wasn't saying MP Blaster would be unawesome, I was saying a repaint of MP Soundwave into MP Blaster would be unawesome. A new mold Blaster might get me excited.

So, who do you guys think will be the next mold after Galvatron? I bet Valandar didn't see THAT one coming :lol:

Galvatron would be awesome, and logical. I would also enjoy Ultra Magnus, Soundwave or Shockwave, but none of them are very likely compared to Galvy, IMO.

Personally I'd put my money on the next 1 being Galvatron!

I think before a new mold we'll get repaints, and plausible re-issues. So I'm sure we'll get Roddy repainted into Primus and Dark Rodimus before anything else happens. and we'll get a UM re-issue thrown in there for good measure. Then maybe another seeker, and then we'll get the obvious choice of Galvatron for another MP.

For sure. I seriously heard that Mastepiece Soundwave was next.
I'd be happy but with it being 2010 it makes way more sense to do Galvatron because Soundwave has had his music label version, generations version and his comic con reissue in the last 2 years whilst galvatron is still stuck on that awful classics figure.

You must be so happy to see what a great job Hasbro have done with his Generations figure, a Masterpiece is probably unlikely but at least he has two kick ass figures coming next year - Hasbro and Fansproject.

I'd like an MP Galvatron, but I'm not sure if the rounded limbs of the artwork would look that nice in person and in plastic. That's just my opinion, but I'm going to hold onto it until proven otherwise to my satisfaction.

After seeing the pictures of the third party ones, I wish Taraka would get on the MP Conehead track quickly. I'm a Seeker junkie, so I have to get MP Coneheads to complete the display shelf, but I'd like to see what Takara could do with them. Them 3rd party ones look tough to beat.

A Shockwave Masterpiece makes sense on so many levels.

1. He was the Decepticon leader on Cybertron.
2. He's a very popular character who hasn't had a G1 accurate figure since I can't remember....His G1 figure?
3. With his appearance in Transformers 3 next summer, it makes sense to have a G1 homage and as his G1 figure seems to be impossible to ever reissue, a Masterpiece would do nicely.
4. The Masterpiece figure would actually work nicely size wise as his G1 figure was as big as most of the combiners anyway.

Galvatron should come first but a Shockwave Masterpiece would be a good choice.

Ok, yes, there are just as many/more reasons not to do make him into a Masterpiece but you never know...

I couldn't agree more. The poor guy really gets no love from Hasbro (except ass a cheap white repaint). As someone who probably won't be able to get a Classics Magnus and the FP City Commander set any time in the next few years, I would love it if Hasbro did this. I just don't get why he's so shunned, he seems pretty popular in the fandom... :???:
