SirSoundwave...seriously? Two ties? I don't know if I've ever seen that. I was actually down by 36 points going into Monday night's game. I had Brandon Marshall, Santonio Holmes, Shonn Greene, and the Jets team defense going. Needless to say, it was a good night

Yet another reclamation project for the Raiders. Not so sure this is a good idea. What's interesting here is the lack of David Garrard playing anywhere...I'm wondering if he's over-valuing himself. Likely since no one wants him (and he has had opportunity in both oakland and Miami to start), unless Jacksonville knew something that we don't.

Yeah, two ties. Don't know how I managed it either, but I've pretty much stopped watching MNF because of how badly I get screwed on those games (tied in two games because of MNF, lost because of a best 88 yd TD one week...)
Though what may be weirder is that I'm currently one game out of a playoff spot in another league...at 2-4. I was 0-4 the last 4 games before this past week too

Are the Bengals still in the NFL?
I have to say, the Bears-Bucs matchup this weekend is an interesting one. It may show if the improvements that Bears made last week against Minnesota were a one time thing (because the Vikings are so bad). It may also show us some more about Tampa- a team I still can't quite figure out. Plus it's in London, which is always cool.
Other games: Chargers at Jets; I love that Norv Turner came out talking smack this week about Rex Ryan. Especially considering Norv's previous playoff history.
Packers at Vikings: will Green Bay put up 50 against them?
Denver at Miami: the Andrew Luck Bowl! And apparently some guy named Tebow is playing for Denver.
Seattle at Cleveland: the Other Andrew Luck Bowl!
Upset pick of the week: Rams over the Cowboys.
Marquis game: Atlanta at Detroit- will the Lions bounce back from the loss to the Niners?
Texans at Titans: the Alliteration Bowl! Texans may go down here without AJ and Mario. Very concerned for them the rest of the season.

All trash talking aside on both sides, if the Jets lose this game, they're screwed. Unless the Pats do like the Sox, and collapse completely. Which would be awesome. Probably won't happen though.

It always feels weird when the Pats have a bye. Yeah, I can watch the games for my fantasy teams (I've got two- 2-4 and 4-2 right now), but it's not quite the same. Worst part is I've got the weekend off, and if they were playing I'd have invited my dad and brothers over to watch. Oh well.

As you command, Coach Belichick

I am pretty sure Garrard is having surgery and won't be available until late in the season. I wonder if any team will actually bite on Terrell Owens. Seems T.O. still feels he has something left in the tank. He could potentially be a good #2 or #3 receiver for someone.

COuld be true, but the question is: will T.O. settle for being a number 2 or 3 choice? My guess is he won't. His ego won't allow him to.

I don't think T.O. will have a choice but to be a 2 or 3 option. He needs to face the reality of his age and coming off knee surgery.

I think T.O. would be a good addition to the Browns, Titans or even the Jets at #3. He's not bad, just not what he used to be. OR, he could do the difficult thing and *remove cranium from sphincter* and just be a team player. If he's willing to show he can do that and not have money be a major factor, I'm sure at least a 1/4 of the NFL teams would make a bid on him.
Also, he has a good solid build, could he make the transition to a short-yardage tight end? Or is he too old for that? Or does it depend the offense he ends up with? (Quality of QB, O-line, etc.)
How about Terrell Owens, running back? Not solid enough...?

He may not have a choice, but I just don't see him settling. T.O. is the best ever in T.O's mind and no one is close. There is a difference between having confidence in himself and being an arrogant idiot. I think he's the latter...I believe he will end up without a job simply because he WON'T settle for being a 2nd or 3rd option, since in his mind he isn't and never will be. It's like, "I'm the best ever and if you can't see that and treat me like the god I am, then screw you."

The Bengals fans are "Who Dey" nation. The Saints fans are "Who Dat" nation. The Bears fans are "What the f...?" nation. WHy weren't we running the ball like this earlier in the year? Seriously? Oh, and Jerry Angelo...PAY MATT FORTE!
Tim Tebow may not have started well, but damned if he didn't come through when they needed him. Nice win for Denver.

The Jets survived another week. I think they need the bye now so they can patch up some stuff, and then come out swinging against Buffalo and New England. Even if those teams win next week, if the Jets can beat them back-to-back, they'll be right back in the division fight. If they slip either of those weeks, it'll be a fight just to stay in the wild card hunt.
And what the hell happened to the Titans in Houston???
The Vikings put up a hell of a fight against the supposedly invincible champs. I thought for a minute there might be an upset. It would have been huge.
Cleveland and Seattle. Not sure if I should laugh or cry.
DA BEARS!
Does it look like Baltimore and Green Bay will be in the Super Bowl?

That is the understatement of the week. It looked like a college score. I honestly cannot remember the last team to drop 60+ points on a team. It just doesn't happen in the NFL...

Not a sheeple.

I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Interesting trivia: the Bears didn't kick any field goals in that game in 1940. They had a limited number of footballs and had to resort to running in the ball for extra points. The Bears scored 11 TDs in that game. They amassed 382 yards rushing on 57 attempts (Washington had 20 yards rushing on 16 attempts), intercepted Sammy Baugh and Frank Filchok 8 times-returning three for touchdowns- and forced 2 fumbles. Compared to this game, last night's blowout was a relatively evenly fought game.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.
