The same moronic **** happened with Cutler/Plummer. The team was just fine in '06 at 7-4, while Plummer was "struggling." Cutler goes in, does "okay", but Plummer would've been just fine. We finish 9-7 with Cutler and it's been **** ever since.
Orton's a better QB. The MNF game was just awful. I don't know if you guys watched it all but I couldn't stand it. Sloppy as hell, penalties almost every down. If I was at Mile High I'd just leave, not chant Tebow.

Today's example that shows Al Davis doesn't know where his priorities are with the Raiders: the team filed papers with the league to change Sebastian Janikowski's 63 yard field goal to a 64 yarder. Seriously? Don't you have better things to do, like put together a winning team or move your team to Los Angeles again? Good grief...
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

My Brownies finally get the win, albeit one against the Peyton-less Colts. Actually, it scares me that they're somewhat competitive this year...like I'm either dreaming or in an alternate dimension...crap.
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.

So, wild one down in the Georgia dome tonite. Vick is down...for how long, I don't know. Atlanta looked very impressive tonite. Amazing differences in several teams this week compared to last week, notably among the Falcons and the Bears- two teams that could not have been any more different than last week. Also, has anyone noticed how well Cam Newton is doing in Carolina? Two straight weeks with 400 yards passing in his first two games in the NFL. Fluke? I don't know...but damned impressive.

I agree with you on this, Blurrz. That game basically turned into a joke. It could have been a very good game to watch if the focus wasn't on the penalties. The Raiders could be such a force, but their philosophy on game play is just stupid. And the Tebow chant was just dumb. Semi-side-note; I was really happy how the Atlanta fans stood behind their QB. There was so much speculation that they would be cheering Vick, but I was happy to see that not be the case. They were very much behind Matt Ryan through the duration. I also think that was the best game on Sunday. Very close matchup.

Yay, the Broncos won a game!
SNF was nice. MNF.... Sam Bradford's shoulders aren't big enough.

Offensively, the Rams could only be stopped by two things in the first half: themselves and the goal line. They moved the ball at will over a decimated Giants D and Bradford looked very impressive. But that team is completely different in the Red Zone with Steven Jackson out.
I also have to agree that the Eagles-Falcons game was the best game of the weekend. Very exciting finish, followed closely by the Raiders-Bills game.

I was rooting for the Raiders on that one, too. Oh well.
So how long will Romo be out? A broken rib and punctured lung warrants at least 2 weeks' rest, right?

The Jets are going to Oakland this week. It's gonna be a tougher game for them than I expected. They should win and it would be a good tune-up for New England, I just hope nobody else gets hurt. Mangold being out is already a disadvantage.

Agreed. I like the Jets this week. I get the feeling that last week was that one game that Oakland has every year that determines how their season will go...and I don't think it's going to go well. Top 10 pick again for them. It's really almost sad anymore. They're like the Cubs almost...

Even though I think Al Davis needs to get his wrinkled old head out of his wrinkled old ass, I still think the Raiders will get the AFC West, or at least a wild card spot, if the Chargers just take off and put together 5 or 6 game winning streak. They're not a bad team. But the Jets defense is going to keep their offense in check, and Mark Sanchez has to be only good enough, not great, to beat them.

Holy money balls this is the most frustrating Broncos team yet. Who the hell goes for 4th and 1 on the goalline when the previous 3 run plays got stuffed and you're up 14-10? My goodness..

I was watching "The OT" and Bradshaw said "THE UNDIFEATED LIONS", and I thought he was joking.
On a related note, WHAT THE **** PATS. 17 points in the 4th quarter, god damn they're defence sucks

Is it just me or have there been a good number of sizeable late-game comebacks already this year in the NFL?

Is it safe to say the Peyton manning era is over in Indy? Even if he comes back in 2012, he won't be the same. They might have a wild card spot in them, but unless Tennessee and Houston totally collapse, the Colts are done. Honestly, it's a bit surprising that in his 12 years as QB, Manning only went to the Super Bowl twice, and only won once. Though he did go up against an unstoppable Saints team. His brother has 5 more years to go before he gets there, do you think he will do better? He already matched Peyton in Super Bowl wins.

Yeah, Brett Favre definitely flushed himself and his "legacy" down the crapper. Now instead of being named alongside Joe Montana as the greatest of all time, he will be known as the guy who sexted his junk to a gold digger. Though Jenn Sterger is a damn fine looking gold digger.

well, yeah. but I was talking about farves last few years. his will he/won't he nonsense, waffeling durring training camp while the vikings had a possibly sucessful QB pushed to the side when brettsaid "I'll Do It", and led minisotta to a crapy season and an anticlimatic, cry baby end.
rant over

Yeah that was very unprofessional as well. Though he's not the only one to pull crap like that in sports. I believe he should have stayed with Green Bay to the end, and not retired when he first wanted to. They made it to the NFC title, and as good as Aaron Rodgers is, Favre could have taken that team to the Super Bowl as well.
