I don't know if I should call myself a Transformers fan, since I don't know what the requirements are. But yeah, I've been following TFW2005 (I know, how terrible of me) and Seibertron for years and decided to create an account in Seibertron. As for collecting, I'm only a high school senior (I like Transformers, but I'm too secretive to reveal it at school) and I don't have a supporting job, so I can only get a couple figures a year (even then, I feel like this is some kind of secret hobby). Usually, though, I often find myself a year late, for example, a specific figure I was looking for is no longer in stores. Anyway, enough about that, I'm mainly on Seibertron for some news and the gallery.

that1guysittingthere wrote:Oh, alright thanks. I'm still not sure how this forum works, but I reply to you with a quick reply, right? Moving on, yeah I notice how many people trash on the Michael Bay films. I can see why people hate them, but I think it's just another interpretation of Transformers from someone else's mind. Some fans hated the the Beast era, 2000 RiD reboot, Unicron Trilogy, etc. etc. I did watch Armada and Cybertron (I skipped Energon) when I was younger, but it was the 2007 Michael Bay movie that first got 10-year old me into Transformers. It was from there that I read the Ultimate Guide by Simon Furman and was opened to this world. As a result of that, I'm looking for the Dreamwave comics (I only managed to get Prime Directive issue 1 and the first 2 War Within issues).
And apparently, some collectors (specifically the "geewunners") think you have to be a fan by owning G1 figures. I managed to get a Commemorative Series Smokescreen, but I don't exactly have anywhere to put him (I freaked out when my brother took it). Still though, figure collecting (I don't know why it's difficult for me to utter the word "toy") has...I don't know how to explain it...caused me to be somewhat paranoid (btw, can't wait for generations Breakdown to be released, would also like to see a new Red Alert). I'm not sure if you understand, but back then, I always closed the window curtains, leaving my room dark. I tried displaying the figures I had, but you know, little brothers. Now I keep them high in my closet, and oftentimes, if I open my closet, I always look out the window or keep the curtain shut. I don't know, habits. But yeah, I joined this site because fans will know what I'm talking about.

Well, maybe Burn...
Have fun, but if you use emoticons too much, we might sick Blast Cannon on you...

I've been a Transformers fan my entire life. My first Transformer was something from the 1985 line, not sure which one (I was 2 years old). I've been collecting them ever since.
Some additional background on me: I used to own a comic book store, and I host a podcast about comics, toy collecting, and movies (link in my profile if you're interested). I'm a huge fan of the IDW comics, especially More Than Meets the Eye.
Thanks for having me.

Welcome!
The IDW comics are awesome - they're what brought me back into the fandom after a lull that lasted for a few years. Do you have a toy collection as well?
