So I can't really help, but think all these haters aren't true fans. I would think a true fan would love all the excellent homages despite the animation. This is just contemporary style but there is so much good stuff going on. This will easily be the best since BW and may even beat it out. I love the mix of G1 and Movie and brand new stuff.

generally: i quickly scanned through the 86 tf movie (i handnt seen it before), the art is more detailed (although some is really bad like the dinobots)than the G1 series/ new animated stuff but for sure theres loads of goofy if not downright cheesy moments that I wasnt expecting esp with the negative comments initially thrown at the animation (which it is oft compared to). seems to me the comical aspects of animated are a blast from the past. The only aspect of the 86 movie i really cant stomach is that AWFUL music. i also think the new SS sounds better than than the 86 movie version. aside from the new art style the animated series really seems like its got a lot of the feel of G1 intact.

Wow. I'm impressed. The designs are a lot more detailed than I thought, and the frame composition really sells the designs. They work in the world they were designed for. Not all stretchy crazy like I thought. BA! YAY!
I'm not angry... I just hate most things.

Neat! That clip rocked! Cons look and sound VERY Con-ish! Starscream blows Megatron's hand off, fer cryin out loud! Now THAT'S frikkin awesome! I will, for sure, be ordering my dad to DVR those bad boys and burn to DVDs for me!!!!!
I do, however, expect some to be uber-cheesy though! Too many dern humans for my tastes! Less human interaction and more Cons-Blast-Bots-Bots-Blast-Cons action!!!!

Not that I am one, but honestly, I hate blanket statements like this. That's like saying that any U.S. citizen that hates Bush isn't patriotic to the U.S. Everybody has a different opinion about what would make the franchise better, & not everybody beleives that every new idea incorporated into Transformers is what makes it better. That dosen't make them any less of a "true" fan than we are.Thunder_breaker wrote:So I can't really help, but think all these haters aren't true fans.

you know there was more to G1 than just the movie right?
And of coarse the movie is going to have better animation.
It was a feature length movie. It's production costs were probably higher. The actually G1 series was riddled with animation errors.
But I agree with on the rest of the stuff.
Aside from not liking the 86 movie music.

sure, i know theres also g1 as episodes, admittedly thats all very average for the time and animated is probably average for now. the talk about g1 as if it was some cutting edge work of art thats been destroyed by the movie and animated is unfounded, thats down to pure nostalgia.
Nostalgia can do strange things to minds, it can even make 'battle of the planets' fans think battle of the planets is better than 'gatchaman' from which BOTP was butchered/edited and had extra crap inserted to fit the western audience.
silent magnus, and as for nostalgia, well your appreciation of the movie music could confirm what i said

When Starscream said ''Neither do I'' I heard spongebob.
Bumblebee's Line ''We are all gonna die arent we?'' I found kinda amusing.

Re: The official TF Animated site is up!
I 100% love all of it but the animation. It really looks like they finished an episode in 20 minutes. Cheap, bland, and just plain bollocks. But oh well, they aren't trying to impress us right? Just the 6-11 year olds. And remember, back in the G1 days, little kids loved The Smurfs, so i guess thats why they made 84' Transformers look exactly like the Smurfs, so they could impress the 6-11 age kids(my age category at the time), cause we as kids loved all of our cartoons to look exactly the same!!!
Bollocks!!!
Anyway, i'm still looking forward to seeing the TV movie on the 26th, but since i read that article with that Islenutz or whatever his name is, i'll be less prone to giving it any breaks now. He needs to keep his F-ing mouth shut about insulting fans. We got enough of that from Bay. And guess what, if i had your job Islenutz, I COULD do it better.
