The only engineering in this episode was very much forward, and the girl with the key was helpless and about to be killed, if it hadn't been for a pretty damn strong Autobot.

And it comes a week after she agreed to not use it as much.

That little fact ruins a well written story.

Still don't like the animation style.

Outside of the couple G1 nods, this weeks episode has to be about the worse thing I ever saw.

I hope to never see it again!

And I'm sorry, but you would think even after the big dumb green thing ran off the list of all the bad stuff that happened with that frigin key, they'd have taken it from her already.

Don't give me that will of the allspark crap either, who the hell leaves that much power in a little kids hands!?!

I don't care, either way, this episode realy sucked!

No one had to tell Bulkhead who Blackarachnia was, he was there under the Fumigation tent.

It was Ratchet and Prowl who were missing for that episode so if one of them mentioned Blackarachnia it wouldn't have made any sence.

Allso to a few people who keep posting in this thread... if you hate this series as much as you say you do why keep watching it and why keep posting in this topic?

There's a couple people in here who it seems every week post nothing but negitive comments about each and every episode so I'm puzzeled as to why they watch at all.

Everyone else is about half and half with hating some aspects of the series but allso post what they thought was good about the series or an individual episode. That's really what this topic is about isn't it?

Or are we just here to say how much everything sucks?

This is a long winded way of saying the people who want to do nothing but rant need to just stop watching this series. No one is forcing you to watch it.

Just like no one is forcing you to read their rants.

But to answer your question of why people still watch it and discuss it, Liege Evilmus said it best in another thread.

Liege Evilmus wrote:I've spent alot of money on Transformers in my life. I will watch it because I'm a fan of the franchise and feel it's both my right and resposibilty to both point out the flaws and encourge the pros in hopes of things getting better.

And I agree 100% with him. I HATE the animation style of this show, I HATE the kiddie nature of it and how dumb the Autobots have been made and I HATE the human "villians", but I watch it anyway because i'm a TF fan. I don't want to be one of those people who stick to one series, I want to experience everything Transformers has to offer, the good and the bad.

And i'm entitled to voice my opinion on it, be it positive or negative. I don't expect people to like or agree with my opinions but if people can freely talk about how great something is, then a healthy discussion needs a dose of negativity now and then.

I really liked Soundwave in this new episode once he became self aware, and how easily he allied himself with Megatron. :P

I also loved how all the machines rose up and started attacking humans along with the play on their speech styles; "Good afternoon Sari! Today's lesson is... The extinction of all humanity!"

I didn't like the gender ambiguous pony riding freak from the start of the episode. That character actually makes the Angry Archer look like a bad ass mutha'.

Not a bad episode all round though, the animation certainly isn't as choppy as it was in the pilot anymore.

I am still opposed to Sari, and the stupid Autobots are still stupid.

Here's the flip side to Liege Evilmus' quote there. Notice the bold part and how I was refering to posts that were ONLY negitive? He mentions stateing both the good and the bad and most people in this topic are doing just that. There are a select few though who have nothing good to say and it's just the same old stuff every week.

Exspessing your opinion is fine, but do people really need to exspess the same opinion every week? They could at least have something new to say.

In your own quote there's another bold text. This is just my opinion but I think the people who would sit and watch a Transformers series they hate just to complain about how much they hate it and the people who will only watch one series seem to be the same people. The argument seems to be "I hate it because it's not G1"

Now if you can find something positive to say any little tiny thing that you DID like makes you sound like less of a "G1 ONLY FAN" and more of a "Transformers fan."

Simply watching the series just to say "I've watched it" is't really enough.

In Transformers Armada I liked alot of the designs and the episode "Past Part 2" the rest of the series I absolutly hated. Will I ever watch it again just because I'm a Transformers fan, no I hate that series. Does Hateing Armada mean I only like one series? No I allso like Beast Wars/Machines, RID, and I'm kinda enjoying Animated so far.

I'm haveing a hard time trying to exsplain this so it makes sence to another person but it makes perfect sence to me. I shouldn't try wrighting posts at 3:30 am, I shouldn't be awake at 3:30 am I gotta go to bed.

The only human villain I've actully liked so far is Meltdown.

Angry Archer and Professor Princess are definatly right up there in the list for top 10 worst villains of all time. I don't just mean in Transformers I literally mean "of all time".

Headmaster shounds like he/she/it? What is Headmaster? Anyway gender isses aside I thin Headmaster will be a good human villain. Not like the lamos that have been appearing. I'm just judgeing off the description though, opinion may change once I actully see Headmaster in action.

First off SP, I gotta say you had my brain working thinking up what to say in a reply but then I read this

I shouldn't try wrighting posts at 3:30 am, I shouldn't be awake at 3:30 am I gotta go to bed.

And it cracked me up. I don't mean that at your expense, because I too know the dangers of posting when you should be asleep. Frankly, you made more sense than I do when i'm half asleep. :P

You missed the point of why I quoted Liege.

What he said applies to those who can find positives and negatives, and to those who find nothing but negatives.

So even though someone may constantly not finding anything to like about Animated, they still watch it because they're fans of Transformers and want to follow all aspects of it.

Simply watching the series just to say "I've watched it" is't really enough.

Why not? Consider this.

They could be writing it off based on pictures of the toys.

You don't like people constantly having a negative opinion, but at least they're watching it and having an educated negative opinion.

I think you're just reading into things too much. This is a discussion forum. Discussions involve both positive and negative comments, concentrate on the conversation and not the motives behind a person's post.

This episode was so awsome, i can't really understand why people didn't like it. the whole story was good, the way they introduced soundwave and that whole thing with the self awareness kinda reminded my of terminator, but then when he became self aware it really did feel like watching g1 soundwave, the voice was 99% g1 and his personallity was soo g1-ish, so cold hearted, so dark and brutal.
the only downside of the episode was indeed as many others mentioned the human villian.. lame. not that i don't like human villians in general. am i the only one who actually liked nanosec and meltdown ?
anyway this series really feels like a modified and upgraded version of g1 to me and i hope they keep up the good work they've been doing so far.

No actully I thought I was the only one who liked Meltdown.

Nanosec on the other hand I don't like but he's not as bad as the Angry Archer or Professor Princess.

Professor Princess actully manages to BE a plot hole all by herself. Or maybe she's just a walking oxymoron. Did anyone but me notice that she seems to hate toys yet at the same time she's useing toys as her weapons. Her unicorn was just a toy and she ended up crying when that got broke.

Well to be honest part of that was directed at Omega666 who addmitted to not watching the entire episode so this quote doesn't really apply here. I was trying to avoid useing his name.

You mean a Hypocrite, not an Oxymoron. Close, but not enough.

And I too liked Meltdown. He was ruthless, cunning, cold-hearted, a regular human Decepticon. Nanosec, on the other hand, wasn't quite as cool, but he's way superior to Archer and Prof. Princess.

Imo, the human villains so far, from coolest to lamest, are Meltdown - Nanosec - Angry Archer - Professor Princess.

Meltdown was great. He seemed to be the only truly powerful and ruthless human villian. As of now, the episode I want to see the absolute most is "Black Friday". It has all my favorite characters in it.

Hmm...about Animated...what exactly is the goal of the Autobots? Are they supposed to be finding a way off of Earth? Just playing superheroes and protecting humans? They don't seem to have much of a mission, and they don't seem to be trying to defeat the Cons, because they're always surprised when one appears.

Good question, it started out with repairing a spacebridge then they found the Alspark, what happened with the Alspark anyway, did they lose it or do they have it somewere, I kinda forgot what hppened after they got rid of Starscream.

I think it's to protect the Alspark till the Elite Gard get to Earth and grow up to be heroes.

I hate Proffessor princess she's the worst villian of all time, she makes angry archer look like megatron in terms of evil and scariness (hey rugrats your missing one). I think she only hates boys toys she's fine with girls toys. Apart from that it was a good episode I really like soundwave shame that lazerbeak wasn't shown. Kremzeeks appearence was also a treat, so in all it was a good ep except for the princess.

I actually laughed out loud at the Kremzeek cameo in the Soundwave episode.

Oh, and I think some people need to stop taking the joke villians like the Archer and Princess people so seriously. They're supposed to be dumb. They're just joke villians put into the episode to make the Autobots look good.

Yeah, and that's one of the really bad things about this series.

They need dumbarse humans to make the Autobots look good. :?
