actually, prime probably made the most logical choice by leaving elita. The entire ship was about to have an energon explosion, they didn't even have 5 seconds before it went off (if they tried to save her they would have all died.) It really doesn't make any sense however that they didn't even try to look for her body (even if her life signs were showing up they should have checked for remains or some better form of comfirmation)

I'm really curisous to see tickimus prime again though to find out if that incident was the reason why Optimus was kick out of the academy. It would actually be kinda interesting though if the incident made optimus too much of a hero (to the point of taking reckless risks for the sake of his teammates and that got him kicked out)

don't you mean "Tickinel Prime", he's not a "-mus Prime".

I'd be willing to be money on Sentinel having pinned the whole excursion on Optimus and getting him kicked out of the elite guard that way. Furthermore, he probably started believing it after telling enough people. He sure as hell believes that Elita's "Death" is Optimus' fault.

Since Blackarachnia is now part organic and seems to now have the ability to "spring a leak".

Eleta-One looked more like a Yellow Aireal. Allso she seemed a little emotionally attached to both Optimus and Sentinal and vice versa so I'm a little unclear as to what her relationship is with them.

So now knowing she was an Autobot and has a conection with them I'm thinking maybe she will at some point join the Autobots again but I don't think she and Prowl will ever get togeather.

I did notice her Blackarachnia helmet in the cave and I'm wondering if she'll ever be shown without it or if the toy will have it removeable.

This episode is verry much like the episode "Past" from Armada only without showing how the Decepticons ended up finding her. Optimus Prime took the place of Hot Shot and Blackarachnia took the place of Wheeljack.

Aside from thinking this is WAY too early in the year to be showing a Halloween episode the other things I think are wrong here is the unexsplained change from "Your powers don't work on Organics" to "I used my power on the Organics and downloaded their venom". Another plot hole is Optimus in the past being in a hurry to leave an organic planet because "Autobots are forbiddin" to future Optimus being on ANOTHER organic planet and not even knowing what organic matter was when he arrived not to mention they said nothing before in this time they've been on Earth about Autobots not being allowed on Organic planets.

This is probly one of the WORST episodes to date. The whole thing is one gigantic plot hole. I won't even go into the mysterious dissapearance of Ratchet and Prowl in this episode.

I think I'd rather watch the Dinobot episode again and pretend this one never happened.

It could have been done SO much better if Optimus Prime wasn't in the flash backs, the whole thing about Autobots not being allowed on Organic planets was never mentioned, and the thing about her powers not working on Organics was never mentioned.

The flash backs should have just been Blackarachnia recalling her past and not have anything to do with Optimus.

Let's not go there, shall we?

I wonder how Sentinel will react to Elita-1's reappearance as Blackarachnia when he comes to Earth later on.

And I'm not sure if she'll join the Autobots or not since Armada Wheeljack never did, he only allied with them but didn't rejoin them. But it's still a possibility.

Just saw this week's episode. I enjoyed the character build...a bit unexpected, but good all the same. I am not one of BlackArachnia's fans personally, but I think I might be able to like this one.....operative word: MAYBE

And what is up with the "Optimus Prime the Wuss"? Wow...How odd, and not in a totally good way. He will definitely need to screw some on before Megs gets his body back, or he's gonna get his ass handed to him.

OK "Along Came a spider"
Wow that was actually kinda Good (about half way through).
So Blackarachnia is Elita One?
IS that ever told in any Transformers Universe, Elita one becoming a Decepticon? Did they just make that up now?
I dont know if I like that idea.
So Elita One's charachter from past Generations cant ever reprise and an Autobot.
Crazy.
Prime Left Elita One?! A Real Optimus Prime with Balls (played by Peter Cullen) would never do that! What a WUSS!
Why were they Having a Halloween Episode in the Middle February?
I wish they would have them Transform correctly instead of this Blurred Transformation they keep doing. I know peoplel talk of G1 Animation sucking but atleast they artistically made their body parts actually go into places.

Ditto on that. I was thinking the same thing when I watched this episode, which I totally loved. The teary Black Arachnia at the end even managed to penetrate my cold, dead heart. :-$ Some of you people are so harsh when it comes to a kid cartoon show. Plot holes and long stretches of the imagination are going to happen. I myself find the idea of spider venom "transforming" an autobot to be a bit far fetched, but who am I to say that it isn't possible? It's a kid show. They aren't going to go in depth. (That was nasty, too.)

I'll concede, tho, that it was strange that they didn't go back for her body. Arguably I suppose it could be said that the situation was too dangerous to initiate any retrieval attempt.

As for Prowl and Ratchet being gone.... on patrol?

I wouldn't outright label Optimus a wuss. I would say that he was trying to prevent two deaths instead of one. Sentinel was adamant about going in after Elita and he might have died in the attempt. Morbid as it may sound you can't save everyone.

I'll bank that Black Arachnia will either go back to being and autobot, may or may not be cured when she does, or she dies saving Optimus. Or maybe some ridiculously unique twist will happen. It's a kids show. I don't expect much.

yeah but if I recall correctly back then Prime left to go retreat for help and eventually return someday or something along those lines; Elita wasnt about to die that second. Not like in this episode where she was gonna die right there and then and he said "No lets go!"

Then you remember wrong.Prime was getting on the Ark and leaving Cybertron.Just after Prime said that he would return an explosion happened and Elita disappeared.

Instead of looking around for her he just said saddly "Elita...shes gone" then turned around and got on the Ark.

Here watch the episode:

You can suger coat it all you want but G1 Prime did the same as Animated Prime.

And at least Animated Prime scaned for her energy sig.

This sounds corny as everything from just the summary alone. Couldn’t they have thought up something better?

But they did it so well! I was laughing so hard when Bulkhead had that big cloud of dust with dead insects pouring out from under him. That was great.

I know Why were they trying to have a Halloween Episode in February? Shows like that are better durring thier time of year. Couldnt they have thought of a different way to introduce Blackarachnia

G1 Prime had no idea that she survived and he did nothing to look for her.

He saw the missiels coming and all he did was scream "look out!!!!!".

I saw him do more for the Dinibots once for crying out loud.

Well in any case......whatever.... |:|
WHy did she change alliances though? How did she team up with the Decepticons? There are still so many questions to this story left unanswered. Perhaps this story has more to tell. Again I ask, has this ever this happened in a TF universe with Elita One before, Changing sides and all? This is out of left field to Generations.

The name Elita-One as far as I know before this was ONLY used in G1.

BTW That episode with her in G1 was just as bad as the Animated episode. Should have been made into a 2 parter. I felt like the G1 episode had ALOT of stuff cut out of it that should have been there. The scene with Alpha Trion was definatly too short.

Alpha Trion: I'll do what I can. (2 sec later) I've done all I can for her.

Optimus Prime: You haven't done anything yet. You just said I'll do what I can then stood there stairing at her.

BTW The way Animated Eleta-One was with the Primes she didn't really show any kind of "You're my boyfriend" treatment to either of them just some kind of affection to both of them that could be nothing more than a "Brother sister" type relationship. That's why I said it wasn't clear what her relationship with them was. For all I know she could be Optimus' sister and Sentinal's girlfriend or vice versa. Maybe even her and Optimus are just friends but Optimus secretly likes her more than that. Sentinal sertainly seems like the jock type who would get the girl originally and then later loose her when she realizes what a jerk he is and go to her "friend".

Any way I look at it I just don't see anything about this episode as being "good" and the part with Sari ageing really freaked me out. I'd rather forget this episode ever happened and hope that things will get better again soon.

I'd rather see an entire episode staring the Angry Archer than "Along Came a Spider" again.

That being said, are we going to see an episode with flash backs of Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Prowl's past next? They did a horrible Optimus Prime episode and a really good Ratchet episode so showing at least Prowl might be nice.

I'd like to see a episode showing more into Prowl's past hopefully showing a lighter side to Prowl before he got all quiet, and distant from the others.

I say elita one was Sentinels Girlfriend, she was in his arms for the most of the time.

She switched alliances cos, as she said "At least with them I know were I stand!"

She felt betrayed and switched sides.

I think this was a very awesome eppy, lots of fanwankege to be found in it, come on Energon cubes- THAT explode, how more awesome of a G1 nod can you get?

This BA is more aggressive than the one from BW and more tragic, can't wait to see more of this show!

I didnt notice the question before....No this has not happened with Elita 1 before but its not the first time it happened to a Autobot.

Something simular happened in Armada Wheeljack and for one episode in G1 with Red Alert. [but he only worked with a decepticon]

Actually, there was an Elita-1 toy released in a non-G1 toyline. It was the Movie line. A Target-exclusive Scout (Basic, Hasbro, BASIC!) class redeco of Energon Arcee. While she had no fictional appearances, her toy character is still part of the Movie universe, which makes this Animated episode Elita-1's second appearance outside of G1.

The character was also used in the Dreamwave and IDW G1 inspired comics.
