We gotta have something to talk about till a new episode airs. It's getting rather dead in here.

Oh has anyone brought this up yet?

Given the current theme of Animated it's preddy clear why the original title was called "Heroes" The only reason it was changed to Animated was to set it apart from the movie but I think they could have done that without the lame title. They should have stuck with Heroes, at least that sets it apart from every single other Transformers series. Animated could be anything from G1 till Cybertron.

I heard that one of the reasons for the name change was because of the upcomming "Heroes" toyline from the NBC show.

I think the idea was that small retailers and collectible stores might have had some ordeing issues when ording from catalogs but that story sounds like a strech to me.

This is the first I've even heard about "Heroes" haveing a toy line.

They could use abrivations like "TF:H" the Transformers if the two titles are running togeater and the people ordering are just looking at the "Heroes" part. I-)

Here's a link to some info on the Heroes toyline.
http://www.wizarduniverse.com/nov073220.html

And sure they could used all kinds of abrivations to insure that any mixs ups are avoided.

Truth is I dont know if the story is true its just one of the reasons I heard.

But considering how at least 3 comic stores I know ordered the small TF cybertron toyline by mistake trying to order some statues instead I can see why they might want to make it eazy for the comic store owners.

has anyone besides me noticed that in all the images/clips of the animated Megatron toy has the back of the jet mode mistiken for the front? The front of the jet is where the cannon is pointed to, yet ALL the images/clips I've seen of the toy has it positioned to where it's back is facing forward.

It's likely because there is this piece of plastic on the back of the cannon the looks like a windshield and that is what's confusing everyone.

Take a look for yourself at this pic from the first episode:

Megs is flying towards the right and his cannon is pointed forward.

From what I can tell of the toy vs the cartoon the canon IS faceing the right direction BUT it should be place further up twards the point. Allso the toon it's attached on the bottom of the vehicle mode. The toy seems to have it attached on the top.

Image
Top view, the front of the vehicle and the canon are faceing straight up.

Image
Bottom view, this is where the canon should really be attached and it should be protruding forward so the point is not visable on the right hand side.

Image
Image
And here's a side view to compair with the animated side view you posted.

That's not the case in this picture:

Image

The toy is pointing backwards while all the other figures are pointing forwards. I'm not saying that the cannon itself is in the wrong position, I'm saying the back of the toy is mistaken for the front, thus having the ship faced backwards. This mistake is made very often.

Saber Prime wrote:BUT it should be place further up twards the point. Allso the toon it's attached on the bottom of the vehicle mode. The toy seems to have it attached on the top.

I agree with ya there. Maybe if one fiddles around with the toy they can find some way to make it look more like the vehicle mode in the toon. Maybe fold a few things back, twist some things here and there, etc., etc.

Btw, ya might wanna resize those images, they're to big to be seen completely.

Yeah, one of the side effects of this new format no doubt. I linked them directly from the toys news page. Was too lazy to save and resize them... well not really lazy just have alot going on right now.

Working two jobs, trying to cast a YouTube series, trying to find time to FILM said series, ect. (It's for City of Heroes/Villains so I can film it without actully haveing actors, I just need voice actors.)

I read that the series is set in Detroit, Michigan.

Are any Detroit landmarks featured in the series?

Don't forget the fact that Sari says, "It's Detroit," and there's a sign in front of the lake that the Autobots crash land in that reads: "Lake Erie".

I just watched my first and probably last episode. This has got to be the worst iteration since RID. The animation looks like Hey Arnold. The Storylines parallel in quality with TMNT in the future or whatever the hell they call it. The Show seems like not only made for children but made BY children.

I agree on the Animation comment, I think alot of people do.

The TMNT thing is called "Fast Forward" and that's a continuation of the same series that turned Shredder and Krang into the same character.

As for the storys, like Teen Titans, made by the same people, the series has it's good moments of a serious plot and the bad moments of the little kiddy plots. I think most episodes will end up being the little kiddy plots.

As for the comment about RID, I actully liked that series. It didn't have the best leaders, the leaders on both factions spent alot of time sitting at base and letting their minions do all the work. The plots however were not that bad for a filler series just to pass the time between Beast Machines and Armada.

Transformers Armada on the other hand is the worst series on record. RID Optimus Prime may of spent alot of the series standing at a computer screen but at least he knew everyone's names. Armada Prime can't go a single episode without calling someone by the wrong name.

An idea for a Transformers spoof just poped into my head picture this dialog going with the scene in Armada where Optimus trys to give Hot Shot the Matrix.

Optimus Prime: Ultra Magnus, I may not make it back alive, it is to you I pass the Matrix.

Hot Shot: Ok, who's Ultra Magnus?

Optimus Prime: Hot Rod, it is to you I pass the Matrix.

Hot Shot: It's Hot SHOT, my name is Hot Shot.

Optimus Prime: Cheetor, it is to you I pass the Matrix.

Hot Shot: Cheetor? What just because I call you Big Bot I'm Cheetor now? Isn't Jetfire the second in command why don't you give him the Matrix?

Optimus Prime: Jetfire it is you I pass the Matrix.

Hot Shot: Jetfire's not even here, you're still talking to me.

Optimus Prime: Megatron it is to you I pass the Matrix.

Hot Shot: Megatron? What the hell, he's not even an Autobot! Of course you do keep calling Sparkplug Leader-1.

Optimus Prime: Jolt, it is to you I leave the Matrix.

Hot Shot: That's my Mini-con partner, oh forget it, just go kill yourself allready.

Optimus Prime: OK

LOL Saber Prime. Think of some other scenes while you're at it.

As for you, Phatgod1, you should've watched the first three episodes before making up your mind about this series. Yes, I'll admit this episode wasn't the best one to see first, but at least it had the best human villain seen so far. The others that have been shown are mediocre compared to Meltdown. But go on Youtube, search for the first three episdoes entitled "Transform and Roll Out" and then state your opinion.

Armada's overall plot was a giant hole the size of Texas, Nevada, Alaska, and the Grand Canyon combined.

The only good episode of Armada was Past Part 2. Part one you don't even need to watch because Part 2 shows flashbacks to allmost the entire episode of part 1.

Past Part 1 simply put was poorly wrighten and Part 2 rather than continueing that story told the same story only without the cliff hanger and left out the parts about Blurr and Side Swipe.

Anyway, here's a list of every flaw related to Armada in the order they appeared.

Armada's first episode didn't even have any Transformers in it insted it was all about the kids. The Mini-cons the kids were paired with were there but sence non of them can talk I won't even count them. Optimus Prime and Megatron appear at the verry END of the episode and didn't really do much of ANYTHING so I won't count them either.

The rest of the first season was all about finding these Mini-cons and each episode was about the same as the last, find a Mini-con someone powers up and that's it.

Optimus Prime can never call his own Mini-con by the correct name and insted he seems to think he's Megatron.

The Autobots keep saying they want to Free the Mini-cons and not use them as tools but they don't really show anything to make me think the Autobots treat the Mini-cons any differently than the Decepticons do.

At the start of the series when Sideways first appears he's shown to be his own character. At some point he some how turns into Nemesis Prime and then back into Sideways and at this point he says he's Unicron. Sideways is so f-ed up story wise I don't know what or who he is.

Optimus Prime changes to his Powerlink colors in the last episode for no appearent reason.

The last episode where Galvatron dies allso makes Optimus look like the bad guy and Galvatron into a hero. The reason being they find out that the war between the Autobots and Decepticons is fueling Unicron so the only way to defeat Unicron is to end the War and Galvatron ended up being the one who ended the war Optimus tried to keep fighting. (or at least that's how it looked to me.)

The wrighting for Energon was alot better and I try to ignore the fact it's a continuation of the horrible series that came before it.

Heck, G1 has better wrighting than Armada. G1 has it's fair share of plot holes as well and allso has animation errors which alot of newer shows don't have. Animation errors were a common thing for cartoons of that erra.

Thanks maybe I'll give it a look thanks for not flaming my opinion. But is it me or do these transformers seem more like Ninja Turtles Without a Master Splinter then a Army of sentient Robots. I just wish we could get the writing staff that did Beast Wars

Oh I was just looking at my Energon Prowl and I remember thinking when I first saw him that he doesn't really fit with the rest of the Energon cast.

I haven't looked at this guy for a while but the more I look at him the more I think he'd look well in the Animated cast. Maybe Hasbro will repaint him and stick him in the Animated toy line at some point. I think they should rename him Stompy because of his "Rabbit ears". (They're actully the exast pipes on the back of the vehicle mode but they look like rabbit ears on his head in robot mode.)
