As for you, Phatgod1, you should've watched the first three episodes before making up your mind about this series. Yes, I'll admit this episode wasn't the best one to see first, but at least it had the best human villain seen so far. The others that have been shown are mediocre compared to Meltdown. But go on Youtube, search for the first three episdoes entitled "Transform and Roll Out" and then state your opinion.
Thanks maybe I'll give it a look thanks for not flaming my opinion. But is it me or do these transformers seem more like Ninja Turtles Without a Master Splinter then a Army of sentient Robots. I just wish we could get the writing staff that did Beast Wars

I'm liking it so far, I wonder why people say the animation is choppy, I don't feel it is, I think its smooth, its just a different type of smooth, maybe somebody can give me some examples of where the animation might be choppy or not continuous.

And Bane is pretty much a total rip off The Count of Monte Cristo.....back story wise anyway.
There are very little original characters in todays comics and toons.
Its really very sad

Saber Prime wrote:OK You completly lost me, how is Bane in any way related to The Count of Monte Cristo? (Well I guess this might depend on what version of Bane we're talking about. Cartoon and Movie can't be it. Well maybe TheBatman because I haven't actully seen any episodes with Bane yet. I seen one with Joker useing Bane's powers but that's it.)
Cyrus "(The) Colossus" Rhodes has a different set up than Bane but the basics are the same. He has some device attached to his body that pumps in Steroids or "Venom" into the character's body makeing him larger and stronger. (Or some times just Stronger in Banes case, again it depends on what version of Bane we're talking about.)
The one that really stands on in my head right now is the movie version of Bane. He didn't talk like the cartoon version and was little more than a henchman in the movie and that's basically was Cyrus was except for the whole not talking much thing. Movie Bane allso started out as a little shrimp before the Venom was pumped in just like Cyrus.
With both you defeat them by takeing out the device that pumps in the chemical that makes them super strong.
With Cyrus he has two things on his back that I think look like trash cans that pump in "Advance Steroids" and Bane, well each version of him allso has a slightly different device that useually consists of a tube and wrist controll (or the movie version just had a button on his chest.) That controlls how much of the Venom is being introduced to him.
Saber Prime wrote:Allso I think the term "Venom" came from the movie, I don't remember his chemical ever being given a name before that but it's been a while sence I seen anything feturing him.

Well I used to strong a word when I said that Bane was a "rip off" of the Count of Monte Cristo. But both their origins have a lot in common.Comic book wise anyway.
They were both sent to an island prision for crimes they didnt commit.both sunk into a deep depresion while there.
Both mete a fellow prisioner that became a mentor to them in the subject of subjects including languages, history, economics, philosophy, and mathematics amongts others.
And both would later reinvent themself's ,wearing disguise's in a plot for revenge.Saber Prime wrote:Allso I think the term "Venom" came from the movie, I don't remember his chemical ever being given a name before that but it's been a while sence I seen anything feturing him.
No the term "Venom" came from the comics.
FYI Batman himself was one of the first test subjects for the druge.Long before Bane was introduced.

Ah, I kinda figured that came from the coimics. I don't think the cartoon or movie ever went that far into his backstory. Now I starting to think Bane is a much more interesting character than just some guy who takes drugs.
(Pluse Sweeney Todd is allso verry simular in his backstory. I still haven't seen the movie yet because my movie theater won't show it but I worked back stage for the play version at my live theater.)

I don't know how much you remember from seeing it when you were younger but maybe you should just grab the DvD when it comes out. I really don't want to say too much about it because Sweeney Todd is really a hard play to talk about without giveing away spoilers.
What I can tell you is that Tom Mezmer who played Sweeney in our version didn't have the what I like to call "Bride of Franestine" hair that Johnny Depp has.
I allso know from watching the previews that the lyrics in at least one of the songs is slightly different than what was in the play.
The movie made Toby alot younger than in our version.
And something I think the movie does better than the play, from what I saw of the preview it looks like they're actully going to SHOW his backstory. The play only talked about it and actully started after he had allready broken out of prison.
What other changes the movie has in store I have no idea yet. Most of what I'm seeing I like. It's mainly just Johnny Depp's hair due that's turning me off.
Here's a side by side comparison of Tom Mezmer and Johnny Depp.
I allso have a few funny storys about what was happening back stage that no one ever saw but I'll tell you about that later.

Saber Prime wrote:Anyway... When do we get to see Blackarchnia? Some how I'm exspecting her and Prowl to get togeather. Something about Prowl's facination with organics and his voice sounding verry simular to Silverbolt's make me think he's going to develop a crush on the spider. Haven't seen enough of her yet to really tell how much like her BW/BM counterpart she's going to be. So far all I know is she's the only one on the show with an Organic form. (Not refering to her alt mode, there seems to be some talk that she's actully part organic where as the Dinobots just have the alt mode but are completly mechanical.)

We'll see her this Saturday. I hope she doesn't wind up liking one of the Autobots like the Beast Wars one had done. It worked for that series, but this BA seems more like Strika: a cold-hearted, kick butt, loyal Decepticon. If there is any bot romance in this series, I think it should be between same-side characters, imo.
Saber Prime wrote:technically they never really said weather or not Strika and Obsidian were Autobots or Decepticons only that they were originally created to protect Cybertron itself.
I've allways thought judgeing by the Maximals reactions to them that they were Autobots but that's just me.
