Doesn't that look like he belongs in the Transformers Animated series? And do you see what I was talking about with his "Rabbit Ears"?

Anyone agree or I am I the only one who sees it?

I dont see it with that art but I can see how the toys design lends it self to the style of Animated.

It could be made to fit in with that serries.

You confused me here.It seems your saying that since they were Autobots it was eazy for them to willingly serve Megatron.
You missunderstood which is why you're confused.

What I was saying is them being Autobots is the reason Optimus Primal had the reaction he did to them working for Megatron. He said things like "This is treason" and "You're betraying your own people" which could have multiple meanings (he could of simply meant all Cybertronians rather than just any one faction) but the tone in his voice not just what he said made me think "They must be Autobots" Or if we go by your therie they could even possibly be Maximals but with the number of Wars they suposidly fought in I would think Autobot.

It's all based on Optimus Primal's reaction really, I don't think he'd have the same reaction if they were Decepticons/Predacons because they've been known to betray their own people before. He seemed shocked that they were being turned Traitors.

As for the Programming, I belive that is actully part of their original programming. They take orders from whoever happens to be in charge seeing that person as Cybertron itself which is how the Maximals got them on their side when Megatron was gone and why Thrust stated the Question "If you're loyal to everybody are you really loyal to anyone?"

Megatron of course demands loyalty from his minions so if it was he who did the programming why not make them loyal to him not to Cybertron.

I think the real reason for their confusion was that with Megatron gone and the Population gone who was in charge? They're not just the protectors of Cybertron but they actully have to take orders from someone who is in controll of Cybertron. They sertainly can't take orders from the Planet itself. (Unless the planet turns into Primus but that's in a completly different series.)

I see your point on how "who would have been givving them orders after Megeatron was gone" could have caused some confusion with them.

But I think that they would have just been willing to follow Primal then since he had a connection to The Matrix.

Yeah it seemed that they were going to join up with the Maximals when they thought that Meg's was dead but it seemed like a decision of last resort.

If it were simply a matter of needing a commander then their core programing should have lead them to the Primal much more eazly then what we ended up seeing.

But thats the way I see it.

Now that you guys mention it, almost ALL of Energon/Superlink's toyline is TF:A-esque.

Or is it vice-versa? TF:A is Energon/Superlink-esque?

It could have been the initial art style they were looking to do for energon if they didn't just CG model the toys... just a guess really but the DC toons, of somewhat similar style, were getting big during that time too.

I really think only Prowl doesn't match with the rest of the Energon line. There's just somthing about him that just never sat right with me and I think it might just be the "rabbit ears", they make him look too cartoony. Pluse Energon Prowl was really the first to have the "Wheels on Heels" before Bumblebee.

Black Arachnia's origin...

I never imagined it would be her...and yes, you can trust the source. Shockwave's been doing this since BM way back in 99.

If it's coming from him, it's 100% legit.

So I believe tomorrow’s episode is the one where Blackarachnia appears, correct? It says in the summary that its Bumblebee and Bulkhead’s first Halloween, now I’m hoping there will be no farfetched super villains in this episode unlike almost every episode before it, but seriously, they’re first Halloween? This sounds corny as everything from just the summary alone. Couldn’t they have thought up something better?

Wow, I would have never expected that Elita-One IS Blackarachnia! I'm willing to bet that she will be on the Autobots side by the time this series is over. They finally gave Optimus Prime a little character development too. Even Sential to a lesser degree. Did anyone notice BA's helmit on the ground before Elita got infected? So is she really ugly under there? I wonder if we'll get to see.

Blackarachina is Elita-1. This show has the best charecter devolopment of all time. What was Sentinal's cyb Alt mode I didn't catch it. I noticed one thing. Where was Ratchet and Prowl. They were completely absent from the show. It was weird when the spiders infected her she looked like a fat blue woman.

But they did it so well! I was laughing so hard when Bulkhead had that big cloud of dust with dead insects pouring out from under him. That was great.

Ok I'm going to go a little fanboy here... dont' get me wrong, I like the new Transformers show, but so far I don't like the new Optimus Prime at all... What is he good for? Absolutely nothing! The Optimus Prime I grew up with inspired fear in his enemies and never would have left someone behind, even if it did mean he might die trying. With that said, I did like today's episode, but I still miss the Optimus Prime I once knew.

Yeah, but did you ever wonder what it was like for the Prime you knew in his early days as a warrior (after he was rebuilt by Alpha Trion from Orion Pax)? We never got to see what it was like for G1 Prime when he first started fighting the Cons. Idoubt he was a successful leader from the star. He would have to grow into the Prime we came to know from MTMTE Part 1 to TF: The Movie, to "The Return of Optimus Prime."

  Woah! :!: Wait a second! I just noticed something! Take the first letters of each word in "The Return of Optimus Prime" and what acronym do you get? "TROOP!" Hah, that's interesting.

Excellent episode.

I think we've yet to see the real Optimus Prime. As time goes on, we're seeing what's made him into the person he is today. I think he'll be forced to break out of that shell and when he does...look out.

Something tells me Sari will be the key to that. (no pun intended)
