Re: The Official Transformers: Prime Discussion Thread
So does that really mean that Dreadwing is going to survive in both episodes of Operation: Bumblebee, as being compared to Skyquake, who was killed during his first appearance?

I wish I had started watching this from the very beginning. Even though I was aware Prime existed, my 3yr old (who idolises G1 BTW) found it on Cartoon Network completely by accident the other day and now we're both hooked! We've enjoyed it that much, that I've now ordered season one on DVD so we can watch all episodes order. Fantastic show!

Operation: Bumblebee Part 1 was interesting.
The reference to Beast Machines by incorporating the Spark Extractor was epic, I just wish Megatron would have used it if he could.
The reference to G1 with a Transformation Cog was awesome too. Now there's a reason to make a Robot Replicas Bee. Joy.
I hoped Dreadwing would show up in this episode, but that might happen in the next episode or Loose Cannons.
The idiocy Silas (or Silos. I don't care, really) shows: He has the nerve to ask Starscream what he could have in return of an alliance. Are you retarted? He's a god damn transformer himself! He can exchange knowledge of Cybertronion Beings! *facepalm*
I also jumped up when the flashback occured from when Bee got his voice ripped out. Hoped he would have one line. Then I was disappointed.
And finally, who do you think that medic is? Hmmmmm. Sarcasm aside, I want to see Ratchet be able to "face his demons of the past" by fixing both Bee's T-Cog and voice. ^_^

I think he means, what does Starscream have that Silas couldn't simply take? He's already KO'd three Transformers and taken major components out of two on short notice. He could have zapped Starscream right there and dissected him for everything he's got, and unlike Bumblebee, Arcee, and Breakdown, no one would have come to Starscream's rescue.

You would think bulkhead telling bee he had brass bearings wouldn't be written into a kid show.
The look on Miko and rafs face while trying to help bee calm down was priceless after the commercial too.

Episode 30 -
Optimus seems more like his Movie counterpart now, acting more aggressive and impatient. I do not like the looks of that.
Though it's a Beast Machines reference, the Spark Extractor seen here looks nothing like the ones seen in that series.
My, that GroundBridge sure is spacious.
And so, the Autobots get away with yet another ancient MacGuffin.
Why is Optimus telling the other Autobots about things they should have already known about since, you know, they were there back during the war?
Megatron refers to having removed Bumblebee's voice box way back when.
So, MECH removed Bumblebee's "T-Cog".
So, that's why Ratchet's never been able to fix Bumblebee's voice. It's a bio mechanism and not something that can be easily replaced. same goes for a T-Cog.
Okay, Optimus has begun to show a decent range of one emotion: Anger.
So, all theories of MECH building their own Transformer were true. Thing is, it's pretty generic-looking/unidentifiable at this point.
Oh man! Starscream and Silas in the same scene. That's Steve Blum and Clancy Brown, two uber sexy voices, together at once. And I'm a straight male saying that.
DUUUDE! Steve Blum whipped out his extra delicious voice for that car ad Raf and Miko watched.
Bumblebee's constant noises sound way too much like flatulence sounds.
SNAP! Flashback to when BB lost his voice! At Tygar Pax! But... like Optimus's flashback, it uses the Prime body designs of the characters. And... contradicts the "Bumblebee at Tygar Pax" story by saying BB was captured and interogated for intel, which he wasn't in that story. Granted, that story is mere pseudocanon, but it did fit and was written by Alex Irvine.
Knock Out: "What is with the Rent-A-Car?!"
Not a bad episode. Could have been more fun, but we got some great characterization for Starscream, Silas, Ratchet, Bumblebee, and even a bit of Knock Out at the end. And now that we're finally focusing on Bumblebee, maybe we'll finally get to see his personality blossom as much as the rest have.

I actually liked this episode, but I swear if I see one more "To Be Continued" this season I'm going to do something I will regret.
Bumblebee's doorwings are adorable. In this episode he kind of reminded me of Animated Bumblebee, just without a voice. And that isn't actually a bad thing.
Why I have a feeling that Spark-whatever-it-was will end up in MECH's hands? I'd say the bot they're building is going to be Blackout if I didn't know he's already in this continuity. But I guess the helicopter it scanned doesn't matter much at this point, they still have time to scan another vehicle.
Knock Out really knows how to annoy others. Hopefully he will return that ancient artifact back to Nemesis and not let the Autobots take it. Would like to see it used, as it seems Autobots are not going to use them at all.

You know, I'm beginning to think all of these MacGuffins being on Earth isn't one big coincidence, as if they were intentionally sent to Earth. Perhaps it was some kind of security measure; in case of emergency, critical artifacts and sensitive data are launched to Energon-rich Safety Deposit planets.
It sounds better than just the whole "massive coincidence" angle at least.

Found it.
I like that they made 'Bees door wings expressive. Makes it easier to understand what he's saying and what he's going through. I really hope he regains the use of his voice at the end of this. Probably won't happen but a man can dream.
What doomsday device was Knock-Out delivering? The Sphere-O-Boom (I know it was a stick, but couldn't think of a realistic guess of the top of my head)?
I see nothing good coming from this alliance between Starscream and MECH. As for what they'll call it, i'll guess Whirl just for kicks.

Re: The Official Transformers: Prime Discussion Thread
That was an enjoyable enough episode. Starscream showing his devious side again was pretty cool.
Bumblebee either needs to get his voice back or be killed as his stupid noises detract from every episode he is in. He is by far the worst character for me. Even if they changed the noises it's be an improvement.
Once again Breakdown was barely in this episode

Orion told Megatron that these artifacts were ejected (and possibly pinpointed on a planet) for "later use." The same could go for every other artifact we've seen in this series so far.

Now that most of us have already seen the Transformers: Prime Rumble action figure in the picture posted hours ago recently, I wonder if we will ever see him in the cartoon in the near future, or not. Furthermore, the blue hatchback racer vehicle mode that the Prime Rumble currently has is quite stunning, and I actually like it in a way. However, should he does appear in the Prime cartoon series for real, then this will be the very first time that he will have a vehicle altmode in the Transformers cartoon universe. Well, what do you guy think?

Well, with the generic design and the helicopter alt mode, it would be SO cool if they made that Nightbird...
If only. Hell, the story even matches up a bit.
oh well, lost oppertunity I guess
Still. The car commercial. Now we know what kind of car Bee is!
Also, the face on that M.E.C.H bot looks like a droid from star wars. I can't remember wich one exactly, but it does.

I personally think every transformer in this toyline should have some screentime. I'm tired of non-movie, non-cartoon characters.

I believe that Unicron's presence has a sort of cosmic resonance that draws these relics to the Earth like a magnet and subconsciously draws Cybertronian's attention to it.

I am not an expert on Cybertron/Galaxy Force, but was this Ramble, the Japanese name for Scrapmetal? (Ramble was also the G1 Japanese name for Rumble, right?). I know they have the same name, but maybe psj333 wants a Rumble who isn't a drone?

Oh yes, my ears were in a happy place at that moment.

About Rumble, I really hope he shows up, preferably with Frenzy too. The vehicle mode is just adorable and the robot mode looks awesome! Too bad the head is kind of blurry, can't really see if he has visor or not. It would be fun to see how small he would be in the show compared to other bots. Would he follow the Minicon tradition (being about the same size as the humans) or would he be significantly bigger?

Theory-
Starscream takes M.E.C.H out to the area were Skyquake is, opens up the dimension he's in somehow. They then proceed to bring him down. Removal of dark energon plus M.E.C.H's Cybertronian drone plus salvaged Skyquake parts plus Starscream's know how and "ambition" equals a new Decepticon, totally obedient to Starscream, who now has his own second in command seeker, Dreadwing? The episode could end with him awakening, and saying his 'Autobots will pay" one liner. Of course then theres the transformation cog. wait, Skyquake parts!
A stretch, but a fun theory none the less!

I am not sure about this, but I think this has been ruled out due to some comments from the production team. Anyone else here know the specifics on this?
