I personally couldn't get past the second episode (of Armada). It makes me feel bad, but I don't really care for the Unicron Trilogy. The dialogue irks me and the plots can't hold my short attention span.

Which why someone needs to sub Micron Densetsu, as it is supposed to be leagues better than its Armada dub in terms of dialogue, voices, scripting, and even animation.MQ-9 Reaper wrote:I personally couldn't get past the second episode (of Armada). Super Link and Galaxy Force have both been subbed, but not Micron Densetsu.

Awww, it just takes some time to get noticed...say something really controversial though, and someone will have something to say! Or, pick a fight with someone - they'll talk to ya!

I hadn't watched anything since G1 ended, caught an episode here or there of Beast Wars and was horrified by Animated - though I think I'd like to give it another try. Of coarse, I also wasn't too interested in TF in my 20's - what with all the life going on and such. The movies changed that, and I'm really excited to see more of what Prime has to offer. I really like it so far and I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Bawww, thanks.
I watched the first episode of Beast Wars two days ago. Because of how advanced CGI and computer animation is nowadays, its not quite fair to compare it to BW, even though thats what I was doing.

Miko rocks!
Bumblebee is slightly overpowered, I think.
Ratchet is being treated a little like a weakling, considering he's had to fight his way through to the wounded since the war started, and helps Prime take on a Zombie army, the scrapllerbots overpower him too easily. Does he actually chicken out of the mission with Optimus to snoop out Skyquake or is that justy me?
Arcee is defenitely a cool character, but check out her competition: 1 is the gentle giant type, almost a klutz (Bulkhead), 1 can't talk (Bee), 1 has to provide the example to everyone (Prime) and 1 is showing sudden signs of accelerated ageing(Ratchet). She's overrated when compared to them.
Starscreams' having to maneuvre around Soundwave is brilliant.Soundwave is very cool, despite the strange arms and missing traditional mini companions (who would have been deadly and brilliant stratagems in this specific series). The Decepticon soldiers are excellent for being permitted intelligence levels.
I hope they import plenty of Autobots. From G1 alone,I'd endoy seeing Ironhide trying to work with Bulkhead,or a steadfast, silent type in Hound to compliment Arcees character in the field. There's also a strong supply of Decep rank and file for the Lambo twins,Jazz,Prowl and Bluestreak to hack through (Warpath?!?).Even a nice new base for the Movieverse twins to collaterally trash during their regular fights!Heheh!
I wonder if there are any living Autobots on Dark Cybertron right now...

So far i really like the balance it brings with the movies, animated and even dare i say it... G1. The music score is fantastic and the stories have been great. All the character (Bots and humans alike) have reat development and are very relatable.
Not sure if this has been said in the 14+ pages, but i noticed thaey changed the "Transforming sound" from the cynthisized version from the first 5 episodes to more of the orignal G1 version. i actually like the cynthisized one better for this series. Seemed to fit more. Oh well.

-Maybe my memory is a bit fuzzy, but was Arcee always that tiny compared to Prime?
-Apparently scraplets don't retain their weakness to water. It would have been a bit of an anti-climax, though.
-Ratchet begins warming up to humans, their "fleshy-ness" saved the day here.
-With his orange shirt, glasses, and smashing an alien to death with a crowbar, did anyone else think Raf was channeling Gordon Freeman?
-The sub-zero temperatures of the Arctic causing Transformers to go offline. Where have we heard that one before?
-For a moment, I thought Raf dealing with being rejected by Prime, Bumblebee, and the other humans was going to become a B-Plot. And it totally didn't! Crisis averted.
-Did Ratchet say "It's only a mesh wound"? I guess it makes sense, they don't have flesh. I want to call it a Monty Python reference yet I don't think it meets the requirements.
-Miko shrieks when she sees a spider, which I totally don't identify with in any way shut up I am not crying!!
-Odd sign of affection between Prime and Arcee when they thought they were about to die there. On the other hand, they thought they were about to die there, if you're going to start shouting "I love you, man!" impending death is one of the times when it's okay.
-No Decepticons in this episode. Just putting that out there.
-Okay, super-deadly alien thing being locked away under a big chunk of ice. Anyone else think that was a subtle reference to The Thing?
All in all, it was a good episode. And next week, Wheeljack!

Wait. Bulkhead and Bumblebee need to be checked after being in the cold arctic weather, yet they have no such issues with being in outer space (which is much colder than the arctic)?
So in this series, the Transformers are now affected by freezing cold weather? Why would they need such a handicap when others series didn't really have this problem?
The way Optimus said Raf's full name "Rafael" gave me a TMNT Splinter vibe, which is awesome. Imagine Peter Cullen as Master Splinter.
"Only a mesh wound."
Why is Arcee bagging of Bulkhead so much? He's not an idiot. He's just a big bot with a lot of Spark (and muscle).
One fire extinguisher could take out that many Scraplets? I sincerely doubt that.
And now we have a scene that all the OptimusXArcee shippers can turn to for reference to this pairing.
I think this is the first time we've seen all five Autobots in critical conditions all at once.
Miko just lost a few points with that last scene.
Okay, there's still some things that this episode never answered: Why were the Scraplets in that pod to begin with? Why were they ejected so long ago if their pod was supposed to be a "trap" for the Autobots? What was the significance of locating them in the first place? And why did Optimus and Arcee go back to the Arctic if the pod had already been brought back to the base and nothing else was there?
In the next episode preview, Wheeljack kinda looks like a white Bumblebee with a G1 Wheeljack-inspired head (though, he's got one smugly ugly face).

Not necessarily. For instance, the bright side of the Moon can heat up to about 180 degrees Fahrenheit. It really depends where you are in space. There's no atmosphere to filter out the immense heat of the sun, and there's no atmosphere to lock in the heat that does get through.
Sabrblade wrote:So in this series, the Transformers are now affected by freezing cold weather? Why would they need such a handicap when others series didn't really have this problem?
Once again, I submit to you Movie Megatron.
Sabrblade wrote:Why is Arcee bagging of Bulkhead so much? He's not an idiot. He's just a big bot with a lot of Spark (and muscle).
To be fair, things tend to get out of control when he's left in charge. See: Darkness Rising Part 4.
Sabrblade wrote:One fire extinguisher could take out that many Scraplets? I sincerely doubt that.

Yeah, that's gonna be a problem...
Sabrblade wrote:Miko just lost a few points with that last scene.
To be fair, I'm not all that different when it comes to spiders. I'm just quieter about it.

Because that pod probably wasn't what they were looking for. They didn't know the scraplets would be in there, and I doubt it was meant as a trap. Optimus and Arcee probably went to the Arctic to continue looking for whatever Bulkhead and Bumblebee were looking for, and they had to switch out in shifts to avoid damage from the freezing.

The writers did say that all these little plots and stories are indeed building up little by little into something big and meaningful to come at the end of the first season. What that is exactly is what we'll have to wait and see.YRQRM0 wrote:This series is so perfect! I love that the humans finally have a REAL advantage. It was also interesting how there were no decepticons in the episode, I hope there's a lot of episodes featuring just the bots and the cons. One thing though, I wish the episodes had more continuity. Like, if Skyquake actually joined the cast of decepticons, or if there was a real meaning to their arctic searches. Hopefully with the rest of the new characters, they're just not special to that one episode

I don't think they'll do a love story between Prim and Arcee. I just think it was 2 friends preparing for the end, i'm not reading too much into a little hand holding.
How much cooler did Prime look with his mouth plate up? he should keep it up the whole time. For me the plain face is one of the irritating things bout the show but that really is nitpicking on my part.

It actually did answer all those questions.
Back on the Autobot base Optimus explained that the Scraplets had probably been placed in the pod back on Cybertron and ejected into space. It was never said that they were meant to be a trap for the Autobots, but that they happened to land on earth. They found them by quincedence, but since it had cybertrion significance it was brought back to base to further study. Optimus and Arcee went back to continue searching for what Bulkhead and Bumblebee were oringaly looking for.
