Well, I was already excited about the character even before hearing about the Rock voicing him.Shadowman wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Thinking about it, was Cliffjumper all that popular before TF: Prime came out?Shadowman wrote:It's the Joss Whedon method. Make someone popular, then kill them off to prove a point.
I mean, Animated Cliffjumper was mostly fanwank, Energon Cliffjumper was a nobody in name only, Armada Cliffjumper was toy-only, Movie Cliffjumper had some comic activity (but not much), G1 Cliffjumper... well, maybe IDW and Fun Pub did use him to a decent extent in their fictions back then, so I guess that could count somewhat.
No, come to think of it, previous incarnations of the character weren't all that big a deal. But with TF Prime, the announcement of the freaking Rock voicing him and some other stuff, they made people excited for him. And then they killed him just to say "We're not screwing around this time."

I recorded it, but haven't been able to watch it yet. I'll jot down the Autobits when I can.viruscarnage wrote:Did anyone catch the Transformers: Prime autobits edition tonight to see if there was a promo for next weeks episode

Autobits (Sabrblade) wrote:* If you're looking for a "Gangnam Style" joke here, forget it. That's so 2012. -- [Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus both mentioned of "Wrecker-style"]
* Though he was going to say "Roll out!" didn't you?
* How is "Renegade Autobot Mischief" not already a band name?
* Shockwave's face also gets over 300 cable channels
* There was actually a series called Transformers: Armada in 2002.
* Dark Mount's original name was "Megatron's Super Awesome Party Palace".
* Because it worked so well last time... -- [Starscream: "I assure you, master, I have everything under control and--"]
* A stealth team is usually skilled at entering an area silently to avoid detection. As opposed to what's happening right now. -- [Arcee and Bumblebee were acting as a stealth team, and were under fire from some Vehicons]
* Ultra Magnus is the second Autobot to be held prisoner in Darkmount in under a week. Wheeljack was the first.
At one point his Flight Mode was a result of combining with the Autobot Jetfire.

Actually, it was "Fortress of New Kaon."

Have you considered a career as a detective?

I'm not the one who let it go over my head...

Do you want me to answer that honestly or would you prefer I sugarcoat it?
It...really wasn't. Came off more like you were trying to correct the point, rather than just laughing at the joke.

During my edit comparisons, I've been recapping season 1 and it sucks.PrymeStriker wrote:Hypershock wrote:so, ummmmmm...........we're excited for Prime, guys, right?![]()

Not impressed with the season so far. Sure, it's great to have new episodes again, but I'll be recapping on season one until then (which seems to be the best season to date).

At least season 2 had focus (the hunt for the Iacon Relics and Project: Chimera's development). Season 1 just feels random and lax on direction.
