Fair enough. In that case I guess they just didn't make the most of their time then.

Yeah, to be fair, Hasbro did drop the whole Beast Hunters thing on the showrunners at the eleventh hour, forcing them to put season 2 on fast forward in order to hastily wrap up their three-to-four years' worth of story material in one season, just to make room for the new Beast Hunters ordeal in season 3, which, while still entertaining, did feel more like a distraction from the main plot and only put in to satisfy the toymakers and, once it was done, was put aside to let the original plot get back on course to complete itself properly.Shuttershock wrote:Sabrblade wrote:How so?Shuttershock wrote:Sabrblade wrote:65 episodes was always the plan from the get-go. I just wasn't pleased with the way the series ended, and I thought that more time could have aided them. I felt the Predacon/Beast Hunters focus really limited the possibilities of season 3, as well as changed the focus and pushed some plot lines to the back burner.
I also thought there were a lot of loose threads left over, even after the movie (Soundwave, Airachnid, Shockwave, Megatron, Predaking and the Predacons etc.). If these are addressed down the road in RID then I will stand corrected.

Sharky here is instant-bought!
Dunno about Wolfy, though. He's fallen into that generic build RiD's already gotten.
Actual animation is kinda choppy...

Preds Rising, however, came from a desire to do more once they they were done, as a last hurrah of sorts.

The Prime Vehicons had them too, but theirs were gray.

This has potential!
I do hope we see some more traditional Decepticons though - I'm OK with the occasional beast, but a pack of wild animals is not how I like to imagine the Decepticon ranks.
jrgreer74 wrote:I wonder if any Decepticon combiners will be in this series? I like the look of the figures they have shown for next year. If they add some in here it would set them up for figures latter on. I really would like to see an updated Predaking and Abominus. I know we have the Prime super mini Abominus, but I'm not even going to count it in this post, because combined he is smaller than Prime Soundwave.
jrgreer74 wrote:I'd go with Piranacon too! It never even hit me, even with the sharky picture. But you are right. I'd be more than happy with Piranacon. Any new beast bot combiner would interest me, if it is taller than Soundwave!

We don't know if it's Grimlock or not. All we know is that it's "a bombastic Dinobot".jrgreer74 wrote:That Grimlock is the toy shown on the Bluray of AOE. I like it. It is kind of Godzilla looking.
